When I try and listen to a podcast or watch someone on Twitch or engage in any other form of diversion I don't want to have to sludge through someone's incredible insights about the election and politics and the president and immigration and whatever. If you weren't saying this shit back last summer I sure as shit don't want to hear your opinion now in Current Year. So many entertainers, actors, comedians, musicians, YouTube creators, and streamers are now political. You didn't hear fuck about shit from them until this election. What, you didn't have an opinion until the status quo was jeopardized? Fuck off.

Most of the people I know are sick of politics. Most of the people I know are doing their day to day job, trying to keep their head above water, hoping the new guy does a halfway decent job. When they get home they want to eat a decent meal and maybe watch some TV. They don't want to be lectured. You can't fucking hector people into doing what you want.

Nixon called them the "Silent Majority". Most people don't change their minds when confronted by aggressive tactics, they just keep quiet so they don't have to bother with those most vocal and abusive. That's why I don't participate here. My preferred method is to make fun of people who fail at basic reasoning, or don't understand how charts and graphs work, or don't understand abstract thinking. The fun stuff where you ELI5 how they are stupid in a forum where their mothers and co-workers can see it. Yelling faggot seems so pedestrian, plus I respect a lot of faggots so its more of an insult towards them if that was my go to.
