Raid economy will still exist. Now it will be buy a basic PL run or a weighted PL run where everyone runs a cloth/leather/plate alt for 4x the price.

Anyone is entitled to an opinion. I think they should be weighted though. The guy doing LFR shouldn't hold the weight as a guild slogging through mythic.

This is a bandaid meant to fix shitty people

How come almost every one of you shits on pet battles when none of you actually do them? Your opinions are bad not to mention incorrect. What we should have is pet raids, not regular raids because those are garbage.

It wasn't aimed at helping anyone in lower difficulties. It was originally stated it was supposed to stop high end guilds from split running. It's not going to accomplish that at all and so now Ion is also adding new, equally idiotic reasoning to try to justify the change.

Ok and all those people killed the last bosses in video games too. Why are we denying them their opinions on WoW raids?

I am just curious why people who haven't tried pokemon(or some other activity) in WoW think they can shit on it and at the same time same people are allowed to claim that others who do not raid are not allowed opinions on raids. Call it retarded if you want but it seems like a legitimate question.

I wasn't commenting on what is good or bad the loot changes are. I don't raid so I have no opinion on it. What I was wondering is why is it OK for one class of people to have opinions on things while another class of people isn't allowed to have their opinions when both types of players are equally ignorant about the other's activities? The answer seems to be:

"potato"

Okay, pet battles are accessible to absolutely everybody in the game since level 1. Everyone has experienced pet battles.

Raiding is not accessible to everybody whether it's by choice or lack of skill or lack of time. That is fine and dandy. But then it ends up being the same autists that say vanilla raiding was harder. The very people that browse this forum still do this (albeit it hasn't happened in a while) and they haven't actually set foot in a raid since WOTLK and think nothing in the game has changed. They are basing raid knowledge and their justification for their wrong opinion on decade old content.

& since we have the community guild, we would get absolute TRASH players from this forum showing up week after week and still not knowing mechanics 4 weeks in, even when explicitly asked on the microphone if they understood and they would say yes and immediately fuck up. It happened every single thursday for almost a year straight. These same players we would see talking in guild chat about how raiding is just too easy now, that's why they don't want to play and it's like dude you can't even comprehend moving the same way the rest of the raid is moving what are you even saying? That's just the people in the guild. Now look at people on the actual Warcraft forums or people on reddit linking their characters. They CAN have their opinion, but their opinion should mean a whole lot less to everybody in the entire game when they haven't even experienced the difficulty in normal.

Either way who cares, kill dragons and suck a dick or two and get your purple. That's all the game is about.

Potatoes will always potato. That has been true since the first multi-player game ever. I recall potatoes whining on LoRD boards 25 years ago. I am curious if non potatoes, ones that do not raid, should be banned from having opinions as well?

They shouldn't be banned from having opinions, but they shouldn't be surprised if everybody thinks their opinions don't hold that much weight.

Their opinions aren't relevant without experience. I'm not a neurosurgeon, so I don't have any opinion on how to perform brain surgery -- at least, no opinion that should be considered. By anyone. Ever.

They aren't banned from having opinions. It's just that no one should ever care about the opinion of some LFR jockey talking about how Mythic is too this or not enough that.

For pug runs it's ok but guilds should be able to do whatever the fuck they want with loot.

I think the important takeaway from the last few pages is that this change clearly doesn't stop arguments about loot.

Or they saw Mythic raiders quitting because the real problem is everyone thinks they can run a mythic guild so there are tons of mythic guilds out there. These guilds hand all the gear out to their buddies and disband. I don't know what it's like on other servers but on Bleeding Hollow the mythic raiding scene is Aids times 9/11. There are like 100 horde guilds who have 18 players who show on a regular basis all recruiting in trade chat spam for hours every day.

My guess is the majority of the population is in the casual mythic range where they are just finished farming heroic and now are going on to Mythic. The majority of the population didn't bang their heads on mythic from the start. They won't have 100 pulls on any boss. They will get down most of the raid.
