So I've been driving for Uber & Lyft as my primary gig anymore, and I enjoy doing it. I get to chat up everyone, which is good. There's a car wash in town that charges $44/month for unlimited exterior washes. They have a system that's pretty quick. We're talking around 6 minutes from the moment you pull into the lot till they wave that you're car's dry (enough) and you're good to go. It's a really good deal, and you can use it unlimited times every month. As a result, I head over there usually every day or two when I have a drop off in that area.

Anyway, the only down side to this car wash is that they don't vacuum your car, where as the more expensive wash right next door (that also takes 30+ minutes) does a REALLY good vacuum job. But they charge $15 for the cheapest wash, so this is a much better option.

Anyway, first up I bought a small vacuum to use in my car. This thing has gotten very good reviews, and I'm quite pleased with how it works. The suction is strong enough, and it works well. Very light weight, and easy to remove the bag and dump it out (rather than buying a new one every few days). My only complaint is that the "power beaters" thing only spin as a result of the suction, so they don't spin very quick or do much of anything. I'd much rather they were "power" spinners, but I guess we don't get everything we want.

Next up, that vacuum requires an AC outlet, and the cord is only 6-7 feet. It's a good vacuum, but it's a pain in the ass to park my car right along the one wall in our garage complex that actually has plus. Because of this, I only really vacuum my car when it's really bad, and I'm standing there for 30-40 minutes in the heat. It sucks, which is probably why I don't do it daily, where as if I did, it would be real quick.
Because of that, I picked up a cigarette lighter to AC adapter thing.

Guess I should have checked the power level. My vacuum is 500 watts, where as this was only 300 watts. The vacuum spools up for 1/2 a second, then shuts off. Whoops. Aside from that, it appears to work great. I'm sending this back to Amazon on Monday, and I already ordered a 750 watt one that connects directly to the battery (the cigarette lighter doesn't have the current to handle a larger item) Just to play it safe, I'll start the car up before I use it, just to make sure it doesn't drain the battery too much. I doubt that would happen, but better safe than sorry.

EDIT: Is it just me, or do Amazon media links no longer appear?

Sounds good. I'll figure out how to disable it just for Amazon.

EDIT: I have 2 different ad-blockers. Adblock Plus & uBlock Origin. I was able to make both of them automatically disable when I view this site. That's convenient.

Nice! I bought my wife a giant trash can a few years ago we call the van. I need the wood chipper version.

I'm actually debating buying a Chrysler Pacifica. It's rated the #1 van on the market, and I like that all of the seats fold completely into the floor. Makes it act almost like a pickup truck. Having a vehicle that sits 7-8 people total really increases your revenue when driving for Uber or Lyft. I've spoken with a few van people, and they tell me they average $2200-2600 a week, where as I'm sitting in the $1100 range.

I need to research this a little better before I make the investment, just in case they aren't telling the truth.

"RezBlock Concentrate by 420 Science - 15ml - Pipe Glass Cleaner "
This works very well. Cuts cleaning need by 80% in my estimation.

Picked up an Anova Sous Vide wand and holy shit is it amazing. Have made some of the best tasting ribeyes, salmon, lamb porterhouse and burgers I've had with it so far. Thinking this will be a big help for meal prep since I can buy in bulk from the butcher, season the meats, portion them for vacuum sealing and just toss in the water when I get home.

Just bought this. I got the 4cyl turbo. Blah blah shoulda got the V8. I could have. But I drove this one for shits and giggles, and its just fun.

Yeah, its definitely slower than the V8. But damnit, its fun, was cheaper than the v8 by a huge fucking margin, and gets pretty damn good gas mileage. Fuck it.
