McCheese McCheese if you don't finish this quest before me you are going to lose your pet king title.

Baa'l Secret Pet Battle Has Been Discovered

That shit's crazy, you need to have completed Uuna's Doll on Argus as well well which is a long ass quest (10% drop, can summon the boss once a day).

Also a PSA if you want a spectral moose, the quest is up for another 7 days and then it's gone for 6 months. Archaeology dude in legion Dalaran gives it out The Right Path . It takes 2-3 hours to do.

Ran through 6 mythics tonight, finally geared up to 336 or so with a 345 weapon. Feeling a lot more normal now. Also group dps was insane so that plays into it.

I'm an idiot that didn't unlock Kings rest so been working on finishing the zandalazar zone. I feel like there's a ton of shit I can't even get to in a week.

I done a few more Mythic 0 yesterday with a decent group honestly was night and day difference to the day before,. Dps all doing 7k+ st way more AoE and doing the mechincs of both the boss and the trash correctly was a brezze no issues on the Hpala. Must say I am finding the lack of spells avalible on the Hpala rather boring to play find myself with wishing i had more buttons to press and yes i do go in and melee.

Im concerned there's gonna be far less to do end game than there was in legion. At least in legion you had a reason to run mythic 0's or the daily heroic. from better AP rewards, to more chances at legendaries etc. Here, the AP reward from daily heroic is garbage, and no legendaries. I'm already at 343 ilevel. Pretty much only missing a single trinket from M0 now, and I have zero reason to do the rest of them that don't have that item each week.

At least in legion, I could jump in M0 pugs to try to build up my BLP for legos and help lesser geared people get their gear going etc. And get some OK ap to boot if i really wanted. I mean I can still take up a spot to help people, and trade them stuff I don't need. But it's harder to feel motivated without that carrot as something I might get to advance my character.

Getting to max level and seeing 90 different world quests available that refresh daily including such winners as "match game" as well as TWO copies of "protect baby turtles by trying to gauge arcs in a tight first person" combined with the knowledge that the entire rest of the story AND the rest of the game is behind them is a lot to swallow. Showing up at the end of Legion completely tainted my view of what World of Warcraft was actually like.
So if there were not world quests then what would you log in and do?

Also there is nothing story related tied to the turtles. I enjoy those world quests and I am not sure why others don't. If you don't like them though you can certainly skip them.

So broken shore all over again? Nice.

Considering the expansion is Legion all over again, what were you expecting? I laugh at how Blizzard is writing expansions now. They take away all the good stuff from a character so they can then give it back to you and they charge you for this. Your character lost all their interesting abilities, flight and "Legendary" armor abilities. You are now just as strong as your level 100 counter part with base gear. Now you have to pay $49.00 if you want them back....Buuuut, you will have to wait a year until it all gets patched back in. Add in all of the bugs that came with the expansion despite the long Beta test and you have to hope that part of this is some super secret project that will reintroduce the World of Warcraft in a brand new game. That at least would explain the real lack of passion that appears to now exist with the current one.

It is amazing that anybody who played Legion, would still pay money to play this new expansion. It goes a long way in showing the power of addiction to a character built over time. There has got to be a University working with Blizzard doing a research article around video game addiction on this.

To be fair this was the first time they made you feel 100% weaker in an expansion. Granted the legion power creep was pretty real, but it really shows lack of imagination that they couldn't continue from there and instead felt the need to reset fucking everything. This was just apparent from beta I played and the announced content. However with the introduction of the world now scaling to ilvl its gotten to new heights of stupid design decisions. I thought this was a fucking RPG, where you progress your character to grow your xmogrified penis. I guess instead of an obstacle course they literally force you onto a scaling treadmill with a carrot cock blocked by their absurdly stupid AP system, a system that literally says "wait for 9 months and you'll be able to get all the goodies without all the hassle" (the only system that was worse then Ledgendaries in Legion IMO). What a bunch of twats. I guess props to them though. Nobody expected an expansion worse then WOD.

Fine by me, I'll save over 100$ in subscription fees and come back when they're just about done with this shitty expansion.

Whenever I log on it's like WoW has arranged a very detailed and orderly play date for me and I just wish the whole thing was a little more freeform. Everything is gated behind a long series of small chores all carefully compartmentalized, sterilized, and portioned out. Playing through Legion I was interested in seeing where the story was going at every step of the way and I never had to wait for the next chapter of anything. It was all there as one, continuous narrative and I thought it was pretty great. By the time I was wrapping things up I saw I wasn't too far off from unlocking flying and the allied races so I stuck around to do that. Having flying made making an alt more appealing so I went through the Demon Hunter story and liked it. The invasion stuff made leveling a breeze. World of Warcraft was throwing up no roadblocks.

Which is why the start of BfA is causing such whiplash for me. There's this realization that the game I played and that I liked is not what WoW is.

So all this water led me to realize I needed to get a Water Strider mount as opposed to gliding around on my iceberg. Imagine my chagrin when I go to Pandaria and realize that I've been exactly 1 daily quest away from Angler Exalted (and hence the Water Strider) since at least 2014....

*sigh*

In other news : Spud is the bestest thing. I wish he was stationed at all the flight points.

EXACTLY!!!

This is what everyone needs to do. This company has gotten so high on itself that it has no problem using the least amount of effort it can and charge premium prices for it. If after 1 month, pretty much everyone stopped playing, it would force Blizzard to reevaluate their entire process andc perhaps start coming out with content that warrants the 12.98 a month plus the game. The thing is, addiction is a bitch and so most players just keep paying, and the company just keeps laughing.

Next Expansion:

Raise level cap to 130.
Remove Flight but there will be a quest plus rep after one year that will allow you to get it back
Remove all Armor effects at level 126.
Introduction to a new Jewelry slot (The Gem) that acts as a soul conduit. It will give your abilities back but this will be over time with an exciting AP system that makes you want to slit your own throat.

Oh yeah and a new island in space(The world is out of room), discovered by that big ship in legion to have been debre from the sword hitting the planet. Also raids and dungeons released over 1.5 years.

PAY UP ADDICTED BITCHES!!!!!

I think I was subbed for maybe 4 months out of all of Legion and got all I really wanted to out of the expansion as a non-raider. I also got to skip much of the timegated bullshit and skip the AP grind. I just don't see any point to not focus on the later patches as you get so much more done without much of the hassle.

There are two types of WoW players:

Those for whom the game is a lifelong addiction from which one can take long breaks but never truly leave

and

those for whom the game is a lifelong addiction about which they make exactly the same complaints every 2-3 years but never truly leave

Right now there is plenty to do. Finish your mythics, do the achieves for the mount, farm some of the new mounts/pets, do island expeditions (these are pretty fun), World PvP is actually fun now too for the most part with warmode on. Dailies were never a reason for me to log in and keep my subscription going. They were always a reason for me to quit the fucking game.

You cannot just "skip" World Quests. There is no "just don't do them if you don't like them". They are the ONLY way to raise your rep. Rep that's needed for many major unlocks, both story and achievement related. The turtles are required for Pathfinder. They are a requirement to advance your character. If rep was not tied to World Quests you would be able to target one and grind it out, so you'd be able to do that instead of these stupid fucking world quests.

Time gating sucks. It always has and it always will. Requiring you to log in every day or miss out on important character advancement was never a good idea, nor was it ever a reason to keep your sub running. It's amazing that Blizzard, and apologists like you, don't understand this. This doesn't keep sub numbers up because people feel obligated to log in every day. It drives sub numbers down as people get sick and tired of being forced to do shitty world quests over and over.

If you take a poll of everyone in this thread on whether dailies keep them subscribed to wow, make them cancel their sub, or they are indifferent to them I'm pretty confident nobody would answer that they're a reason to keep your sub alive. Nobody ever said to themselves "Well there's nothing to do if I log in except these dailies. But they are totally worth logging in for. Guess I'll sub for another month". There isn't a single person in this thread who kept their sub active through all of Legion because of World Quests. Not one.

Noodleface Noodleface I got that armor that produces more healing orbs with Firebreath procs. I think it is per debuff per mob and they will nerf that. Because if you hit a pack of mobs with it you generate a lot of them. It is VERY noticeable having that or not. That and Gemhide seem to be quite strong for tanking.

About to hit mythics this week and leveling my warrior. Doing like Khane says and enjoying a lot of stuff. Pet battles, mount farming. Auction house gold. Getting the legion shit i didn't get (mainly Argus stuff) and so on.

I've finally learned that the fun in wow is the slow drip of progress.
