I am still trying to understand how Chick Fil A can afford to hire nothing but young white people who speak English and have enough of them that they can put 300 outside standing in the drive thru lane to make sure shit runs smoothly plus another handful of 18 year old attractive white chicks inside to serve your food with a smile and be friendly as shit bending over backwards to yell "My Pleasure" at every turn. You would think with the growth of Chick Fil A the other fast food chains would take notice and stop hiring these people. I am not kidding my local McDonlads has a mix of black and Spanish people and honestly I would rather take the black guy who think's I am the white devil who hates his job over Santiago simply because I can at least understand ebonics better than spanish.

It's simply black vs. white, goto a black chik fil a, and you'll have just as bad service (they exist).

The one Chick-fil-A we have here is mostly black folks, but it’s still the same deal: young, friendly and slathering your asshole with “my pleasure.” I dunno where the fuck they find all these nice people, either that or each Chick-fil-A gets some secret machine that zaps employees into being friendly.

I don’t know the wages could be higher, they seem to always have a surplus of staff, and they all get Sundays off yet they are still making fat stacks of cash and growing faster than the others. You would think the other fast food places would then mimic their style.

My sister worked at one for about a year while she finished school. They paid like 2 bucks over what any other fast food place offered and said they were really nice and they helped work around any issues employees might have. She said they are very selective with their hires, because they can afford to be. They were easily getting over a hundred apps a week at her store. They are also trained to be courteous as part of the job and those that didn't have the social skills not up to snuff were usually hired for the kitchen.

It's almost like if you have great customer service, quality food, and take a little bit off the top.of the profits and reward employees it's a better overall experience. With what McDonald's makes a year it could easily pay everyone a bit more..or selectively hire. Chik fil a has a great business model. Only two fast food restaurants here have a line in the drive through all day here And it's McDonald's and chik fil a. I'd much rather eat at chik fil a. At least they put on the facade that they care.

The talk reminds me of Costco. You know (at least here) that when you interact with a Costco employ that they are paid decently and treated well. Go over to wally-world and you know real fucking quick that not a single employee gives a flying fuck, because why would they?
