    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

Yeah, I'm not necessarily avoiding it, but I just have so many games in the backlog that we'll just have to see if I ever make it there. Major Elder Scrolls and Fallout releases are an immediately drop everything and start playing kinda thing though. I will play Starfield as soon as it's...

    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

I haven't played FO76, but I don't think it's a good idea to compare them anyway. Isn't it a different development team than the mainline FO and Skyrim teams? Kinda like comparing ESO to Skyrim?

    King Arthur Knight's Tale

This is done by the same guys who did Van Helsing and Warhammer 40K Inquisitor. It looks right up my alley, so I'll give it a shot. I've got a pretty big backlog right now though, so I'll probably wait to pick it up in a month or two.

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

There is no doubt I will try Diablo IV at or near release, but I am not optimistic yet. I think POE, Lost Epoch, and Grim Dawn are all better ARPGs than Diablo III, and it's not even close.

Mass effect Remastered - Legendary Edition - 2021

I wasn't really a fan of Dragon Age. It was the first Bioware game where I felt the formulaic approach to everything was just too in your face to feel fun. KOTOR's story was fantastic. I don't think the gameplay would hold up at all though.

Mass effect Remastered - Legendary Edition - 2021

I don't know. I think I liked 2 a little better than 1. I thought the combat was better in 2, but that the story was better in 1. I felt like 2 seemed innovative at the time, but I think it would feel very dated now. I do agree with your assessment of the combat areas though. They were boring to...

I'm going to play both, but it means I won't have time for anything else for a long time.

Elden Ring - From Software + George RR Martin

I was initially planning on waiting to pick this up until I'd gorged myself on Warhammer 3, but that gameplay video moved it to a day 1 purchase.

Is this game reasonable to play alone, or do you really need to play with friends to enjoy it?

    Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous

Picked this up over the weekend. I think I want the first playthrough to be an iconic lawful good Holy Warrior of some kind going Angel. I'm leaning toward a Paladin, but I keep second guessing it because of everyone going on and on about spell book merging and how fantastic it is. I want the...

    (2020) Assassin's Creed Valhalla

The limited info that's available on this says there will be multiple timelines available and that new expansions will bring in new timelines. I'm intrigued and, against my better judgement, excited. However, I fully expect to be disappointed. It looks like its 2 or 3 years out though, so we...

I wasn't aware of the Infinite product. I know it's not going to be done right, but I can't help but be excited because it could be great in theory.

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

I'm going to give this another try and see if I can't make a real go of it this time. I always tend to lose motivation around level 30 or so in the MSQ. I just keep hearing all of the expansion stuff is so cool. Any good written noob guides out there that are kept current? Just looking for...

Diablo 3 - Reaper of Souls

Thinking of playing this for the new season as a break from POE. I haven't touched it since Reaper of Souls dropped years ago. I wish I believed Diablo IV was going to be good.

I didn't play during the Delirium league and I'm trying to figure out the details of how delirium works. A lot of the videos that I've found on Youtube are clearly from early in the league and folks seem unsure about a few things. I understand how the fog works now, but I'm curious about the...

I play SSF solely because I can't be bothered to deal with the tedium of trading. If they added an auction house or shop feature I would use it a lot.

    Cyberpunk 2077

5 is good. I think you'll enjoy it if you give it a good run. I think the gameplay was better. However, 4 was a much better story (imo) and Niko was the greatest. It;s my favorite of the GTA series, even though I think the forced hang outs were the worst thing ever implemented in a GTA title.

    Cyberpunk 2077

Yeah, I may replay RDR2 someday, but it won't be for a couple of years at least. The online portion was terrible, at least at launch. Never went back to see if it got any better.

Monsters and Memories (Project_N) - Old School Indie MMO

To me this seems like a problem with execution rather than with the system itself. Give people more control over how they setup who they want to be grouped with, but don't make us go back to shouting for groups in public channels. That's just not an efficient use of my time.

Monsters and Memories (Project_N) - Old School Indie MMO

EQ's faction system was pretty cool imo. It was always neat to see a Troll or Ogre running around openly in Freeport or Kelethin. I even liked the way they handled factions later in the game with stuff like Velious. I'd like to see something that brought back some of the danger and community...

    Path of Exile

To me that write up just said "we realized we were cutting everything too close to the wire and not leaving enough slack to deal with unexpected problems." Covid turned out to be one of those problems. It's not really an issue of size or amount of resources, but of how those resources are...

    (2020) Assassin's Creed Valhalla

I enjoyed the Desmond Miles story, but it's just an annoying distraction now. I hate it every time they pull me back to "present day". Now, if they wanted to do a full blown AC in modern day that would be fine. I don't want to jump back and forth anymore though.

    Cyberpunk 2077

I loved both games. I liked the story of GTA 4 better than GTA 5, but I agree that all the man dates were pretty annoying. RDR 2 was just fantastic. I know some people complained that it was too slow, but I was in gaming nirvana.

Agreed. The Animus has basically been dumb since the end of Ezio's story.

    Path of Exile

I do like Kiroy's plan, though 4 month leagues would work better for me personally. I think Kiroy's plan would give them the time they need to better develop and polish the league, while not having a significant impact on pack sales.

    Path of Exile

I think POE is still my favorite game of all time. Not sure why Bubbles has so much hate for GGG. I think they are miles ahead of almost every other studio (especially for FTP games) as far as I'm concerned. To each their own I guess. I think I've spent $60 over 6 years, all on stash tabs. I...

    (2020) Assassin's Creed Valhalla

They still have a modern part to the story line, it just sucks and only serves to pull you out of the coolest parts of the game. They've been reducing the footprint for a while, but I think they should just eliminate it. At most make it an initial cut scene at the beginning, but I wouldn't even...

    (2020) Assassin's Creed Valhalla

Yeah, they really told the whole story in the Ezio trilogy. Others have said it in the past, but they really should just drop the whole modern day thing for future games and let them be stand alone tales of Assassins and Templar without trying to tie them into the Desmond Miles story line. just...

    (2020) Assassin's Creed Valhalla

Odyssey is pretty cool. I'd say it;s worth picking up. I think I put over 100 hours in it. Finished the main story, but left a bunch of stuff unfinished. I loved AC:2, didn't like 3, loved Black flag, hated Unity and the one with the British twins, and I think Odyssey sold me on the series...

    DDO (D&D Online)

I've been playing pretty steady since I picked it back up a month ago. I really do enjoy this game. Playing a level 15 barbarian and just hoping I stick with it long enough to finally reincarnate a character. I always seem to get distracted before I get to that point.

    DDO (D&D Online)

So I decided to give this a try after thinking that they revamped the intro area. They didn't really, but Keep on the Borderlands is available from level 1, so can be used to replace Korthos. It is better than Korthos, but it's nothing special. I've been replaying Catacombs as well, and I like...
