Yes. My hope is they make a world as deep, sandboxy and interesting as they did in WL2. My feeling is combat should be better as it is fantasy ( more spells and such ).. I just hope they keep the environment and dialogue skills ( traps etc )... they did a great job with that in WL2. Here...

started playing this got bored at level 5, now playing baldurs gate on ipad. LOL

Is there a class that doesn't lock you in place when you do an ability ? Control Wizard would be very fun if that were the case... perhaps it changes at later levels ?

DDO has some decent grouping although often ruined by the OP-ed characters. They really nerfed content in that game this past year.

Dungeons, or even overland but where you are building grps to tackle content ... even if not large %. I need a grping game and they seem to be scarce unless i go back to 1999 or 2004 or something.

Damn, you are making me miss VG. But yeah, you hit the nail on the head. I loved the player towns, when crafting you always would see the same peeps around, start talking to them etc. It actually worked to have these player towns with crafting in it, not many games achieved the social crafting...

I think any hope for the EQ franchise to continue in any meaningful way is gone. They have been "working" on EQN since what 2011 or before? No wonder sony sold them off, they can't put shit out on the only real strong IP they have.

Dood seriously, how many years go by of mediocre or shitshow titles does it take to realize that the beauty of MMOs was socialization and it is gone for a sub par single player experience. That is what is missing. And that was what EQ had amoung a few others back in the old Days. Buy ya...

Its just marketing and target markets. # of casual gamers > hardcore or those that have the time to devote to games like we did in eq/eq2/wow/VG etc... That's all this has been about, who is controlling funding and what is and isn't getting funded.

Its been so long since grouping was fun for me in MMOs, I just don't play MMos anymore. If i wanted to play alone, i would play solo RPGs like i do (currently playing wasteland2 which is fantastic). I have no hope left that we will see a real group based game again... its all about the solo...

The AI is so WTF stupid. I had one of my cities surrounded by a mix of marines and Armor and i fought him off with 1 plane and the city bombardment, he never moved closer than 2 squares away and i pounded his face. Just horrible, these games that release in such shit state are returning it...
