    Marvel Universe stuff

    Lame. Where's the memberberry-pandering nostalgia-bait Daredevil-multiverse cameo?

    Avatar 2 (2020)

Lol. There's lots of homosexuality among animals. And ducks, of all examples you could've picked, are notoriously famous for it. Mallards have a homosexuality rate of around 19%, lol.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022)

Good movie. Not surprising from the guy who made the only good Star Wars since 1983.

    Fast X (2023)

    Clearly missing 2 X

    Black Adam (2021)

Missing the charisma, sex scandals, memorable one-liners, etc.. Not to mention the leading man potential to head blockbusters on his own without franchise or buddy-comedy support from better/funnier actors.

    Warhammer 40k

I mean, who in their right mind ever watched anything Henry Cavill for stuff above the neck? The proverbial paint drying has more acting range than that mug. From Superman to Witcher, the sole reason he's ever been in front of a camera were .... aaabbs.

DC Universe (Batman vs Superman thread).

Ezra Miller soon to be the last castmember standing? Lol. Who would've thought. DC quality-control is ruthless!

    Avatar 2 (2020)

What "risk" or "point" or "stakes" would there be? What story-beats even to bother with? If Pandora is destroyed, there's nothing to "fight for" for the Navi. Sure you can film somewhere between 3 and 30 hours of Navi and Humans punching each other, but if neither side has any stakes in the...

    The Witcher

Don't think re-casting Rhodes or Banner (and most of Thor's posse and presumably soon Gen. Ross) ever slowed the MCU. Batman's been re-cast ... 6-7 times in the last 20 years? They'll be fine.

    Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)

Nobody owns things like Thor, Odin, Asgard, etc.. either. If DC made a stylistic version of those that look very similar to how they are depicted in Marvel movies, reception still wouldn't be hot. Moreover, Plato's Atlantis wasn't a retelling of folklore, it was an allegory for national...

Rings of Power: Tolkien's Shambling Skinsuit

Hehe. I think you got me confused with all the other beta-bottoms here that think it's some kind of meta-political thing to hate on RoP, Black Panther, She-Hulk whatever because their trumpchan/critical drinker handlers tell them too

Rings of Power: Tolkien's Shambling Skinsuit

    On screen-adaptations of Tolkien? Impossible!

Rings of Power: Tolkien's Shambling Skinsuit

Yeah. The 70s stuff was decent. The Jackson-version was an abomination that had little to do with Tolkien beyond the title and character names though.

Rings of Power: Tolkien's Shambling Skinsuit

So PJ's raping of Tolkien's corpse got some Moonlight awards? Great.

Rings of Power: Tolkien's Shambling Skinsuit

Well, that’s been true for every attempt to bring Tolkien to the screen since the 70s

    She-Hulk

Aweseome ending. Loved them going all-in on the 4th wall. Probably my favourite Marvel D+ thus far.
  17. Z

    Prey

It was roughly as faithful a portrayal of women in 18th century native american culture as Arnie and his one-liner crew was of late 80s US special forces / Vietnam vets. So it fits the franchise.
  18. Z

    Prey

It's not. But they are both in Legion.
  19. Z

    The Gray Man (2022)

Definitly a lot, lot weaker than the forum made it sound. That was garbage-tier.
  20. Z

    Avengers: Doomsday (2025)

It is, but after 4 movies, they're kinda stuck with it.

    Oppenheimer (2023)

Twist is that Love transcends War as well as time and space. Also neither dialogue nor atomic bombs will be audible over Hans Zimmer.
  22. Z

    Thor: Love and Thunder (2021)

I mean, the genre, print or movie, is mostly about oogling buff guys in skin-tight spandex.
  23. Z

    Thor: Love and Thunder (2021)

I liked it, though also less then Strange 2. Jane Thor was great and bookended her being in 1 & 2 (and gone for several years) well into the Thor-Story IMO. Bale was killing it, as was the visual team doing his scenes. Fighting Gorr is surely the reason to see this on a decent screen. That...

    The Boys

No such thing as Alphas, lol. That nonsense is right up there with the earth is flat.
  27. Z

    Prey

Relative to a Predator. They are. It's the difference between a giraffe and a more buff giraffe trying to one-up Donald Trump Jr. coming after them.
  28. Z

    The Boys

Well, even if they get there by a different path and backstory, I'm still kinda assuming they'll use Black Noir as Edgar's anti-Homelander fail-safe / back-up in some shape or form. No? Especially since there was a (surviving, burned) Black Noir in the young-Edgar-in-Guatemala-Flashbacks.

    Ms. Marvel

I mean, obviously. It has "Marvel" written on it and is on Disney+, lol.

    She-Hulk

Well, it is a line by Banner seemingly before she knows what's going on.
  32. Z

    The Batman

I mean, it's not "good". And people certainly also (again?) criticised Leto's performance. But it is balls-to-the-walls-all-in-maximum-weird-leto-style-method.
  33. Z

    The Batman

Haven't seen Morbius, but Leto certainly gave it all the maximum-weirdness and then some again in House of Gucci. Didn't seem like criticism made him tone down anything.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)

Yeah. Took the third eye as a symbol of being corrupted for using the Darkhold. Dreamwalking was the main thing they did with/from the Darkhold in the movie, but presumably he also now has access to other naughty magic from it and plans to use it on the Clea-adventure?

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)

Why did they hire a bunch of different actors that didn’t look much like Tom Holland to show different multiverse Spidermens, but Dr. Stranges, Christines and Wandas (and her kids) were always the same? Feels like a weird oversight. Shouldn’t they have different people playing alternate...

    Moon Knight

That is not what Alderion said. He very explicitly said he assumes criticism of Isaacs faithful rendition of a british accent (quote: "this is exactly how you sound like") was a sort of nation-wide effect of voice confrontation. The argument makes no sense with an intentional comical voice...
