"Massively increasing supply" is only true relative to the recent all-time bottom. We're not even close to oversupplying the market. 2005-2010 is what a bubble looks like. And it's even worse than this chart would indicate because in the background the population has grown by 50% since 1980...

Wishful thinking. Again, people can't sell for less than they purchased for because they have to roll it into another house. Sellers simply can't go underwater. The reason for the mismatch and lack of market clearance is that buyers are at a generational low due to interest rates, which are the...

Yeah, the housing market isn't going to "pop" until we build more units than people who want to live in them. As of now we're 5-7 million homes undersupplied. Houses are unique in that everyone has to live somewhere and so it's not physically possible for sellers to eat a huge equity loss...

I think we are agreeing with each other. Perhaps I didn't express myself clearly. I was not intending to support the idea that a homeopathic fruitarian diet or some other bullshit will cure cancer. Current medical technology, including ratiation and chemo, is by far the best toolset we have...

    Cancer: a Philosophical Question

Well yeah. All things considered, cancer is still very poorly understood both in positive and negative outcomes. Planing just transfer the grit with which you sharpened to the work surface. Tearout aside, a planed surface can be many thousands of grit; far higher than sandpaper. The reason people sand is for a) guaranteed uniformity and b) to actually make the surface less smooth and more porous to...

This. Much like losing weight, the best way progress financially is to control what you eat.
