If I understood ZiggyD correctly, while a flame is on a target, it hits 10 times per second. So more flames improves flame uptime on a single target. You're likely right that you won't hit that limit though.

Sure, I'm curious. You were using conc effect fire trap to clear? Seems kinda annoying. I watched ZiggyD's video on flamethrower trap. He said it has a limit of 10 hits/s on any single target. So, I guess extra flames improves the uptime on that 10 hits/s? Did you try it on Uber Elder yet...

I'm not following you. Which flamethrower helm enchant helps flame trap? Also, I have no idea how to quantify flamethrower trap dps. Malachai's Awakening still might be better than +2 helms.

Shaper down deathless first try on my arc trapper. Nothing to brag about, but I thought the comparison was interesting since my arc/ball lightning character failed in the 3rd phase. Not sure what conclusions to draw from that. I was using fire trap for single target...not sure it's that good...

I'm not sold on Lightning Spire trap. On bosses that move around and/or are skinny, I have no idea how to quantify the real dps of the skill.

So, I know things like leech and "your attacks" don't work with traps. What about "on Hit"? Rings look pretty boring for trappers, trying to see if a shaper or elder ring would be an improvement.

The key to shield charge is to hold down force move while you're using it. And to not spam it. You should tap frequently and then allow the force move to get you around obstacles. This can be tiring on the hand if you have yet another skill(Flicker Strike) you're holding down in the RMB.

I have no doubts that it is largely practice. There's also a dps check, it's pretty loose on Shaper, but more punishing on Uber Elder. Also, you can make up for lack of skill by just brute forcing the boss. Easily applicable with Shaper, less so with Uber Elder because power has not crept far...

As I recall, I had two main problems. No on-demand-movement skill made dodging things like balls or beams much harder. I would also get vortex adds during his bullet hell phase. If I had a real movement skill, I feel like I could easily zipped out there to pop it before the phase started...

I can't seem to do Shaper with the build. The lack of movement skill and slow ball lightning makes it feel a bit immobile. I'm not exactly experienced with the fight either.

I'm surprised there's a build that chieftan is best for. Cyclone is not channeled, so if you activate it, it will spin until where you clicked. The only way to combat this is to always hold cursor as close to your character as possible.

Are you using the LW/Arc build to kill shaper?

Anyone having issues on TWC in the northeast? Getting a lot of disconnects and uncorrectable codewords today.
