    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

No, but I've been bored/disappointed with that game for a couple years. Well, you knew that, but I've missed you, Ut, so I don't mind saying it again. Is anyone playing anything newish? I want a new MMO. Seriously, what's the prognosis for this game?

Is this game still happening? I'm bored as fuck.

I feel the same. Hopefully they continue to iterate on it. Personally, I'm not a big fan of that type of game, so I only see Star Marine as a test bed for how fps mechanics will work in the persistent universe.

Definitely check out the alpha. Star Marine and Arena Commander are both fun, and you should get good performance. The Persistent Universe alpha is amazing to see and experience, but be prepared for shitty framerates - I get 20-30 on a 980 gtx. It's not the graphics causing the low frames, it's...

WTF did I look back at this thread? Look, bud, I'll break it down for you: 1. Etchazz claims the game should have been done in 2015 - "Wasn't the actual finished game supposed to launch in 2015?" 2. I remind Etchazz that anyone who thinks a game with this feature set could be made in 3 years is...

Bro, if you think you can make a 3A MMO with features never included in game before in less than 3 years, you're the retard. Anyway, I'll be back after 3.0 drops, see if anybody here wants to discuss features or facts.

I like how you avoid actually talking about content and just throw jabs at people still interested in this game. Cool - you think it's vaporware and a waste of money. You've said that. Only time will prove you right or wrong. If you aren't interested in talking about the actual facts and...

Yeah, seems pretty outta the blue. Makes you wonder how much it has to do with Crytek going down the drain, etc. I'm hoping it just has a lot to do with using the integrated networking stuff that Amazon has been building.

That's a GIF someone made of in game footage. You could recreate it in alpha right now. Edit - I mean the thing that's cool about it is that it shows off the separate physics zones they've added to the engine - You have a guy running on the floor of the Caterpillar while it's spinning (because...

Yeah, if you play one character you'll be bored like that once you cap out. I keep myself interested by trying new builds on various characters with different armor sets, etc. Still working on VMA off and on. Also, I jump into pvp now and then. They really need more varied end game content. More...

You'll find groups faster as a tank for sure. I have a sorc that I've played as a tank, and it is fun. If you respec to stamina based skills, stats, and level up sword and board and heavy armor, you can handle vet 4 man's easily. Bound armaments and hurricane make you very tough.

    The Elder Scrolls Online

Yeah, normal trials are a joke. They took out all the mechanics that make them hard. You need to do vet trials for any challenge. Vet 4 man's aren't that hard, and tons of people are running them. What's your champ level? What role? Low champ level isn't so big an issue if you are healer or...

It helped me a lot to watch this guide. I watched it stage by stage, not all at once. I've also been playing a stamsorc. I have 400 champ points. Currently at end boss of stage 9, and just can't beat that fucker.

Yeah, I'll catch a lot of grief on here for admitting this, but I also am giving it another shot after the latest updates. It's alright. I'm just bored enough to find it interesting again, maybe? Interview with a lot of the top SC devs. They're kinda cringe-worthy in their nerdiness, but I bet a lot of us would be too. Some good info, nonetheless. For example, CR states, unequivocally that the planet demo linked above was in-engine, not altered for the demo. Some of the questions are...

Compared to last year, I was underwhelmed. They wanted to have a vertical slice of Squadron 42, but I guess it didn't make the cut. I feel like the "Spectrum" shit was thrown in as filler. Anyway the planets look cool, and it boggles my mind when they do the super long distance pull-outs.

Seems you have to go where the talent is. They tried to do more from fewer studios, and couldn't hire anyone. The big game companies were poaching any talent they picked up in Austin, for example. The UK and, with the trouble Crytek was having financially, Frankfurt were goldmines for this game.

Yeah, that all makes sense, but note - none of the things they need for SQ42 are the "impossible to do" type of things. It's just a matter of time and polish, and like you, I'm expecting this game in 2017, but .... who knows?

Yeah, amazingly, Kotaku actually wrote a well-researched, thorough article on a subject. I enjoyed the read, even though nothing was really new if you've been closely following the development of SC. My favorite part was when he went into a three or four paragraph about how ex-devs described...
