Maybe I've just been oblivious, but have the Wildstar Devs ever made the claim that they were making a next gen MMO? Or is that some twist the community has spun on it? I didn't really expect anything new with this game from what I read other then a new title that didn't take players too far...

Agree whole heartedly. Combat was my biggest issue with the game during Phase 2. Hope this makes combat much more engaging.

Heading to Vegas June 17th to 24th. First timer. Can anyone recommend any awesome things to do while we are there? Going to play a WSOP event while there, probably see the Grand Canyon one day... I've been told the gun ranges are a ton of fun. Anything else that should jump out at us?

Agreed. The old boys club in EDM has got to stop. They need a fresh GM that doesn't have a distorted attachment to the players on the roster. They need to make significant moves and those might require moving a young player.

From some articles I've read the actor that played Ceasar did such a good job (aka fans loved him) that the Executive Producer has agreed to do a spin off. Thats about all that has been said though.

I'm curious about this. In the first 20 levels I felt my biggest complaints were the treadmill questing, the lack of a story that really immerses you, and the horribly boring combat (numberous issues). If this was a title without such a huge name attached to it I would dismiss it immediately...

To be honest a I don't. I'm far too skeptical these days. However this is a small part of my FF fanboy that hopes the introduction of Dungeons, GuildLeves, FATEs, etc at later levels do make it more interesting.

I sure hope the rest of the leveling experience is certainly better then the starter area...

I do not know this for 100% certain, but I would assume you can't get into the beta forums because they are still in Phase 2 and your invite is for Phase 3.

People are such drama queens when talking about DF2. It certainly isn't what people expected/wanted before the Beta started, but it isn't unplayable either. They are releasing without some key content (Dungeons, fully fleshed out class system, Markets, etc) which is a bit of a joke since...

Canada just played abysmally. Didn't help that Subban gave up 4 goals on 16 shots through 2 periods. No excuses. The Americans just dominated. Bye or no bye, when you play that badly, you deserve to get pummled and that is exactly what happened.
