Totally agree with this. I wouldn't really call myself a Brad hater, but he has been consistently overly optimistic about the development timeline of this game. At the 23:10 mark in the below stream he says Q1/Q2 2017 for pre-alpha and seems to imply that the entire continent of Kings Reach...

I think it's safe to say the development of this game is taking WAY longer then planned. Every testing date target I have ever heard them give, has been significantly missed. I don't think they are nearly as far along as they often imply. What's with all the pre-alpha 1,2,3,4...19 shit...

EQ2 FoH leader was Noah. He used to post on the FoH boards, but I haven't seen him around in years. I was in Iconoclast on Permafrost. We were always close behind them during early EQ2.

Given Brad and Smed's relationship, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Amazon ends up funding a large portion of this game at some point. Maybe they already have. Would make a lot of sense for both parties. Especially as they look to really ramp up development.

They are saying Alpha later this year. Beta next year. So I think sometime in 2020 is a pretty good guess.

I think this is the way to go. Give several casting classes the ability to COH, translocate, port, etc. Adds a nice level of utility to casting classes, helps build relationships and doesn't break immersion IMO. I wouldn't start giving them until higher level though. Which should help...

The older I get, the more and more I value this too. I thought this game was dead when the Kickstarter failed. Fairly impressed with what I have seen lately. I pledged a few months back. $250 bucks for alpha and beta access, 3 months sub and 2 copies of the game really didn't seem too bad...
