Having a hard time trying to hard transition to magic, find myself falling back on shield and frostner. Anyone else have this problem, or did something in particular push you over the hump? I'm just better playing magic as support rather than solo it feels like. Still using padded pants but...

That's fun, looks like Dinniman crashed a local meetup tonight. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2991028597775373?multi_permalinks=4560616380816579&hoisted_section_header_type=recently_seen

I don't remember having access to magic chests out of the gate either, which is amazing. Also am I missing some excavate tool or is the best way to dig still placing objects and then picking them up?

Hearing really good things, just a matter on if I have 3 hours to burn in a theater for it

New season out today.

Yeah, having an issue w/ my group where few even want to play these, and others only want to play them but only co-op together. When I get into a game I want to play it every night. So I've resorted to just spinning up games I wanna play on my server and tinkering with them as my ADHD brain...

It's an XCOM game, not a BG3-style game. No overarching overworld for you to traverse between missions (just some brief stuff here and there) but it's basically a turn based arena fighting game with persistent character growth across fights - and even that description undersells those elements...

Set foot in the Mistlands for the first time tonight. Fucking ouch.

Gemini summary: The video covers deleted scenes, alternate endings, and backstory reveals for the HBO DCU series Lanterns, as well as details about the canceled Greg Berlanti/Marc Guggenheim Green Lantern project. Lanterns Season 1: Alternate Ending & Deleted Scenes The "Dark Lantern" and Ring...

Precursors of primordial soup found on Mars. https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/nasas-curiosity-finds-organic-molecules-never-seen-before-on-mars/ Among the newly identified molecules is a nitrogen heterocycle, a ring of carbon atoms that includes nitrogen. This kind of molecular structure is...

Heavy dose of Breaking Benjamin and Starset today after seeing them last night.

Yeah, it's grown on me the further I've gotten from the 'what the fuck' of it all.

Personally looking forward to messing with Demeo and some racing stuff again. Probably snag a cheap racing seat and stuff for my wheel soon, and get back into that more. Just wish there was a clean solution for a racing + flight sim setup. Instead you end up w/ a clusterfuck of cabling and...

I just got home from watching it, yeah, and I'd agree with that.

Goddamn this was weird. It's going to be hard to say it's good to anyone, because it's going to be a Wes Anderson-style acquired taste. Certainly not my kind of movie, but it was propped up by a cast I like a lot.

If you like survival crafting games and remotely like Dune, it's 100% worth it at $25. Personally I've got 360 hours in it and have been in maintenance mode for the last several months, and am looking forward to starting over once I can get it back on my gaming server (need more RAM or to...

Finale speculation - I forgot about the manhunter's body printer thing until I saw Emergency Awesomes's recap, so that's how they can have Hal not really dead - and also not trigger all sorts of stuff with the Guardians or the corp responding to a Lantern being killed? Just make another Hal...

Yeah, I recently upgraded to a UCG Fiber from my UDM Pro, and upgraded a switch or two so most of my wired clients (a couple PCs and a gaming server) are all 2.5G. It's great. To top it off, Cox is now Spectrum, and my $145 2gb fiber plan is now only $80.

Think it looks pretty good, it's a modern version of The Fly.

We all expect him to be GL before the end of the finale, so I'm rooting for Sinestro to have a hand in offing his parents (gets kid manhunter do it) to break his will and somehow get him to go yellow - only for a red ring to find it's way to him in the final scene. Then continues as the B-plot...

Cregger was on the most recent Big Picture podcast (Netflix) CR and Sean talked about it as well, I liked this point: A few more related clips on that channel.

We just got iron and are converting our meadows base to stone. 1.5x gathering has been amazing.

I've liked it up until now - but this was my least favorite episode. The time jump feels like they're mashing 2 seasons together.

I enjoyed it quite a bit, was a lot more of an exercise in showing someone basically playing through a zombie survival game than I expected. It wasn't very scary but with numerous jump scares. Caught an earlier showing to go w/ a friend and weren't many there. Might go again just to enjoy it...

Unfocused first light from Roman. https://science.nasa.gov/blogs/roman/2026/09/15/nasa-activates-romans-primary-instrument-checks-out-coronagraph/

I've got kids to soak up that stuff, aside from the Vive. Not dealing w/ base stations and all that shit. It's in a box in the closet or something. Got waitlisted today for the Steam Frame.

I like how far things are going, but at the same time, afraid they're going to ruin it with a jump the shark moment. It's that balance of 'well that would never happen' vs 'it's a TV show, show us what would happen if it did'

Enshrouded 1.0 coming in October. Planning on revisiting it then.

Off to Blizzcon so don't get to play more until next week, but having fun restarting. Lots of little changes. Think this image speaks for itself. "Ooh, I can cut both of these down at the same time"

Yeah, we've played By default most Valheim dedicated servers pause when nobody is connected. There typically isn't an advantage for it to be running all the time, since crops grow relatively quickly and you can advance time by sleeping.

I'm starting a fresh run but with 1.5x gathering I think to take the sting out of farming a little. Also want to give Dragonwilds a go next week when it's 1.0 drops, and then there's Enshrouded 1.0 coming up... and all this other stuff I spun up on my server. ADHD brain in overdrive.

I managed to get through Bobiverse book 3 so far, I like Ray Porter but just couldn't care less about any of the deltan stuff. Everything after DCC though is so dull though, lol.

Yeah, next season is already confirmed to be the last, and is to focus on the derelict Mars-94 spacecraft's reactivation and the discovery on Titan. That ship that came back to life in the stinger was the one that was lost in season 3 when they fucked up their engines racing the NASA and Helios...

Too bad that CEO couldn't hop in and acquire/integrate SteamDB with VideoGamesCritic, add engagement figures to the review trends.

I'll bump this instead of losing it in the VI thread where nopixel was also recently mentioned. Nopixel V launches 9/8. Dev update 1: Nopixel Studios
