I picked up Hades for $8.30 CAD with the Epic Coupon, which I think is a pretty great deal. Fantastic game so far.

    Hades (Supergiant Games)

Yeah, this game is fantastic. I completed two runs, but now I'm going to wait for a full release. Don't want to get burned out on it before it's properly complete.

He also wrote (and according to Karl Ubran, Directed) Dredd. I thought Annihilation was neat, but it didn't quite hit the mark for me. Still excited for this.

The Dark Pictures - Man of Medan - Supermassive games - Makers of Until Dawn

I loved Until Dawn, so I'm somewhat excited for this. The excitement is killed a bit by having played "Hidden Agenda" which seemed extremely low budget and rushed compared to Until Dawn. Hopefully this is more like the former.

    Best phone games?

I've got a Motorola Z3. It's not an issue now that I have my Xbox One controller, but I could not get the PS4 control to work for the life of me.

    Best phone games?

I had a lot of issues getting my PS4 controller to work on my phone. It would often connect and run great for a minute, then start getting laggy. I tried everything I could google to fix the issue, but never found anything reliable. In the end I ordered a Xbox One controller (wanted one anyway...

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (From the creator of Symphony of the Night)

Some friends wouldn't stop gushing about this so I picked it up. Having a lot of fun with it (I'm maybe 7 hours in), but damn is it easy. I wish I would have known about the cheat code to unlock difficulties before I started. I play a bunch of Metroidvania games and this is the easiest I've...

Again, a Fire Stick works fine. No need for a specific box made by Valve when there are other cheap solutions available.

I just have a small HTPC hooked up to my living room TV with Steam installed on it. It's on the same network as my main PC, so it can stream all my games to the living room. The app is an option if you have something like a Fire Stick.

    Kingdom Hearts III

I'm only 2 hours in, so maybe I haven't gotten to the meaty stuff yet, but it feels like combat is half on rails with the number of super attacks and abilities the game throws out for you to use. I spent 75% of the time on my first boss literally on rails, doing nothing but holding down the...

    Red Dead Redemption 2

If they added more melee weapons they'd need a much better melee combat system. The punching and dodging is fine for as few times as I was forced to use it, but no way that shit would fly if any decent chunk of the fighting was melee.

SpyParty (beta) - Practice your skills of perception and deception

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I played some variation of this with the same name back in 2012 or thereabouts. It was fun, and might be a nice 1 vs 1 game with a friend. Not sure about the price tag though.

    Bioware's "Anthem"

7 days of Premier, or basic Access? I was going to check into this, but can't find anything confirming it around. It would be great when I want to play co-op with a buddy for an evening.

    Bird Box (2018)

Watched this last night with the lady. We both read the book a few years back and thought the movie was shit. Acting was okay, everything else was pretty bland.

Surprised it took this long. I'll keep mine long enough to play Catherine on it, so my lady doesn't question my answers to the relationship questions.

A friend of mine grabbed his Move controls from a craigslist type site that is popular in the area. I checked and plenty of people are offloading them packed in with PS3's and bundles of old games. Might be worth grabbing that way.

    Steam Link App

It's available for Android right now as a beta. I booted it up and it seems to work well enough over wifi for me. My PS4 controller doesn't connect to my phone without serious lag, so I didn't get an idea of how bad a delay might be. I can see using this when I'm sitting on the couch and want to...

Yeah, pretty much. The book has a short epilogue that eludes to there being more to Offred's story, but it's pretty vague.

    Bloodborne

I just finished the DLC a few days ago at level 98, and only had to repeat a single boss more than once. Two bosses were pretty close calls, but only the final boss took more than one attempt. I was a little disappointed, but I guess I was comparing the difficulty to the cursed Chalice Dungeons...

The Final Fantasy Mega Thread - Now playing FFXV

I had Dissidia NT pre-ordered with 2 other friends. We all played a crazy number of hours on PSP and were really looking forward to it, at least until the beta. I tried both betas and that convinced me to cancel my pre-order. I cant' even put my finger on what mechanically I dislike about it so...

    Slay the spire

Had a tremendous run going last night on the fighter character. Got to floor 3 and had a whole row of various relics, 140+ HP and a bunch of nice synergy with my deck list. Lost in the first Epic battle to the guy that summons minions. I don't want to assume, but it seemed like the game was...

    JRPGs

I was looking to get into these a while back before I got caught up with other titles. I currently own Cold Steel on Vita, and if I wanted the best experience from the series would that be a fine place to start? I know that the other series connects in some ways, I just don't want to play them...

    Slay the spire

After seeing this thread I decided to give this a try. Didn't notice that I somehow spent almost 5 hours playing. Had victories on my 3rd and 5th runs. The first was with stacking defense via Barricade and Shrug It Off, the second is when I got the relic that lets you keep cards from one turn to...

I recently just finished playing through Lifeline on my phone. It's a little choose your own adventure story that you get fed in pieces over a few days. I enjoyed it, but I've heard lackluster things about the sequels and spinoffs.

I don't own a Xbox One, but I can see myself subscribing to Game Pass if they eventually add more Play Anywhere titles. Looks like ReCore is currently the only one I could play on PC, but even that might be worth checking out for a dollar.

A friend and I are also playing through Divinity at the moment. We've spent the last 4 hours of our game in town after arriving for the first time. Doing quests, stealing, upgrading equipment. It's going to take us forever to get through this game.

    Audiobooks

Smart Audiobook Player has worked with everything I've thrown at it. Some of the books were certainly in MP3 format. As long as the files are named properly and all in a single folder it has never had an issue playing any type of file. I hear you about the treadmill. I listen to audiobooks...

I've been streaming from my PC to my Intel NUC media box in my living room via Steam home streaming for more than two years now. I use a wired connection and I don't see any input lag at all. I have a friend that tried a Steam Link via wifi and he had some issues, but I don't know much about his...

I played through Monument Valley a year or so ago and would highly recommend it to puzzle fans. Currently I'm playing through Guild of Dungeoneering on the shitter, and it's a lot of fun. How do you feel about the older Harvest Moon games? I put 50 hours into a pirated copy of Stardew Valley, then bought it via Humble Monthly because I felt bad getting so many hours out of a game I didn't pay for. If you liked Harvest Moon, then I say yes absolutely it's worth $9.
