Unless Brady is really washed up, Pats are the easy favorites to win the AFC again. Their only reasonable threat are the Jags and Steelers. The Jags are set for a sophomore slump, but are looking interesting long term. The Steelers just cannot win against the Pats, ever, especially on the road.
I like Peterson as a coach, but I am wary on saying the Eagles will repeat because they did some weird shit with their offseason. Vikes revolving door at QB and humiliating end of last season will keep them out. Packers still have McFatass at coach and are trying to get a new Defense going, plus Rodgers is starting to show some glass jaw lately, so I fully expect them to squeak to a division win and another humiliation in the NFC championship game. San Fran will Cinderella this year, if the off field distractions don't fuck them over. I don't get the Saints being rated so highly, but I guess unless the Panthers catch fire they likely repeat in that division. So for me the NFC is wide open, but its probably coming down to the Eagles, Packers, Vikes, and San Fran being the likely contenders for the championship game.
In that sort of scenario, the Eagles have the best shot, but if the Packer D actually wakes the fuck up this year and Rodgers can avoid getting a new bone broken so he can wear his Danica beard while handing with the Jonas Bros all season, they MIGHT be able to overcome McCarthy's retardation (Philbin at OC is actual improvement). I do think there is a decent chance that San Fran might just catch fire this year, though, and that division is ripe for them to rack up some easy wins. Vikes will have to somehow magically make a year one QB in their system work, which they have a shit track record of doing for more than four or five games. They also do not match up well against the other likely NFC contenders.
The SB I would love is Packers vs Jags, but the one I think will happen is Eagles vs Pats, with a closer game but Pats still losing.
