I'm not going to lie to you, Holtby has seemed on the decline the last couple of years. But he was good enough in 2018 to win the Cup, including back to back shutouts of Tampa in Games 6 and 7 of the ECF. I still think he has some good years left. Actually surprised his deal is that cheap. Crazy to think even 1 year ago at this point we were assuming he'd be signing somewhere for a lot more but with covid/flat cap...all these buyouts and guys having to sign cheaper short 1 or 2 year contracts everywhere is nuts.

Holtby is the backup whos going to be exposed next year to Seattle.

For what it's worth, i'd take Pietrangelo over Krug any day of the week. Blues still have to clear cap, such a confusing situation.
