Well New England scored a TD so this game is over because the chances of either offense scoring again probably isn't great.

Don't people do mods of the old school game but have the names changed every year? Tecmo was epic, I remember running 30 yard back scrabbling and getting a touchdown. Rampart was one of my other childhood games.

In Super Tecmo my team was the Houston Oilers. I would play that season mode and on every kickoff and punt return I would run out of bounds at my own 1 yard line. That way every offensive drive would be for 99 yards and I would only pass. Warren Moon's stats at the end of the season would be like 15,000 yards and 150 passing TDs. I would do the same thing with the Saints but it would be rushing yards split between Hilliard, Fenerty & Heyward.

My team was the same. We did a dorm competition and I lost out on the Dolphins and since the Oilers were good, I picked them as my alternate. I'd use 4 WR sets and Haywood Jefferies was an unstoppable machine. I can't even remember if they had a good rushing attack because I mainly destroyed the competition through the air. Hell of a fun time. It's good to be young.

If you didn't run back as far as you could every play before launching 80 yard TD bombs then you weren't playing it right
