What is the easiest world boss to kill - the Ancient Cyclops? I fear it would hit as hard as that giant Guardian. The hps don't worry me, I've killed some 700 k creatures, it is more damage mitigation.
Yeah, I guess I could start running Sunken Temple. I have also run Krom Razz ad nauseum. What's the strat for that Guardian that group fears? I assume it is unresistable, and I always fail to stun interrupt. The rest of the bosses I have killed once. Also been playing this over the last week or two and ran into the same issue as you. I used a slightly different setup with Rogue PC and War/Clr/Dru/Wiz party. Farmed the 700k demon in Krom Razz enough to get all the drops my party could use. Then was able to clear Sunken Temple outside of the summon event. I tried some other bosses like Cyclops and Pyroth (fire ele) but both melted my face at or before enrage with 13 vet points. I would guess that Sunken Temple is probably the next step, until all gear is acquired from there. I didn't do Vault of the Vanished either, so that might be another spot.
I was getting bored of the game at that point, so decided to try a warrior but no way I was going to get through leveling up another toon before quitting. So in grindy games, when I am close to quitting is when I usually cheat in order to get a few more hours out of it. I learned how to dupe items using cheat engine and auto-leveled up the warrior to match the rogue with all the same gear of the rogue's party (easier than transferting all the gear, if I wanted to jump back and forth between both toons). I used a party of CLR/WIZ/ROG/ROG in order to try to keep up with kill times for rogue PC, but still couldn't kill Cyclops and the demon in Krom Razz didn't seem any faster (it was actually a harder fight too).
I just powered through it on rogue. The Merc Warrior AoE taunts everything and I would focus adds... basically doing that mini-boss cleared the whole front section of that "room" due to fear pulling a mess of adds. If I were to try a strat, I would clear the room before it, put all Mercs on defense, then pull it back (I keep cleric on defense at all times, so it doesn't burn mana on nukes). What's the strat for that Guardian that group fears? Yeah, clearing would help, last time I died because I went one way and the healers went the other and by the time I recovered I was almost dead with no team. So there was no real STRAT to avoid that lol.I just powered through it on rogue. Yeah, it seems to be exclusively gear. I did spend some points on STR at the beginning but it's been exclusively CON for a long time. Our Vet points are pretty much the same. I did the full 10 in the mana/health team heal, and I've been putting some into AC thinking maybe it would help. May just put it into raw health instead.View attachment 628683View attachment 628684View attachment 628685View attachment 628686
Here are all of my stats and my "main" spec. I have a "full tank" build on Spec 2, but I almost never use it. You just don't gain enough survivability for the loss in DPS. I did swap to "full tank" on my first Cyclops kill, but realized I didn't really need it, and now just tank him in full DPS/2H spec.
I'm able to easily clear Cyclops, Pyroth, and Dragon as far as "world bosses" go. I still haven't done Urzak and probably won't for a bit more gear/vet levels, since I think he's going to require 12k+ HP. He hits like a fucking monster during his enrage. One thing to remember for enrage phases, is that you want to go into it popping your Leadership VET skill right as it starts, to try and burn through it. Also, save all your cooldowns and whatnot during that phase.
If you still need to farm gear, don't forget about Fabled bosses. There is a really good tank shield (that isn't replaced until you can kill the Captain in Winterforge) that drops from the first fabled boss in Lost Catacombs. There's also a bitching healer shield that drops from the Fabled Ancient Spirit in Abondoned Mines. Lizard dungeon also has some solid fabled gear, but the first boss does hit like a truck - he's definitely doable once you get your healers in solid gear and some more HP. Secondly, make sure you're gearing your mercs properly. Healers need a ton of wisdom before their heals are actually effective. Int to bump up their mana pool helps, but wisdom is their big "difference making" stat. Also, I went full CON build on my Warrior. Literally all of my points were dumped into CON. Splitting stats isn't really all that effective in this game and you typically want to focus.
Also, while Ranger is the highest DPS Merc, his AC debuff is overwritten by Warrior's. So, I typically like running Rogue, since he has a nice melee damage debuff he applies. Based on your screenshots,Slaanesh69 , you just need more gear. Your Cleric looks a little undergeared in the mana department and you DEFININTELY should be at a much higher health, considering you're 10 VT levels higher than me but have almost 2k less life. Definitely spend the 3k gold to dump your stats into CON and possibly look at your VT points as well.
