Andor

They could make Jedi and force powers work in Andor, they'd just have to set it up as this loftier, parallel plane of activity where exiled Jedi and Sith Inquisitors fight their battles without any regard to the consequences on the people beneath them. It would feed on the show's theme about the callousness of power. They could show the lightsaber dues and starship battles, but the show would focus on the impact on the bystanders and the cantina regulars.

It's not a new idea. The Wire did it with the whole parallel throughline of the city's mayoral politics and the police leadership while the people underneath suffer the consequences. Rogue One more or less riffs on that as it is.

We may see Ahsoka next season since she was one of the main go betweens for Rebel cells as Fulcrum.

Including Jedi would go against the whole point of this project and Rogue One

I actually agree with this but Rogue One didn't shy from "jedi shit"; it had some of the best "Jedi" scenes in Star Wars. Vader's palace in Mustafar that bridges the prequels and ep4 and finally Vader's "corridor scene" at the end which has become so iconic that they mirrored it for Luke's appearance in Mandalorean.

I'll trust, that if they do bring in jedi stuff, it'll be worth it and appropriate.

Jedi/Sith stuff in Rogue One worked because it was used sparingly. The main characters in that movie (and Andor) are just "regular" people. Tossing in a Jedi/Sith would basically be like when regular people encountered DBZ characters

LMAO, yeah because Vader is a regular Jedi and is (original Lucas canon as being in existence at the time). Adding more Jedi in a time they're meant to have all been wiped out apart from obw, yoda and vaders kids would be more Disney bullshit and not fit thematically into the series

Tony Gilroy's stance on Jedi stuff is that 99% of the galaxy at this point in the timeline has no idea what the force is, or have ever encountered or heard about Jedi stuff. This is of course undercut by the fact that Anakin, a 9 year old on butt fuck Egypt Tatooine knew exactly what Qui-Gon's lightsaber was without even seeing it lit, even with a short glance.
Nevertheless, Gilroy is on record quite a bit lately in various media clearly stating that Force/Jedi stuff will have no role in the Andor series. He doesn't give a shit about fan service one bit, anything fan servicey at all is getting inserted by the props team/story group around what he has written, not the other way around.
And if they did use Vader in season 2, it would definitely minimize his overall impact when he gets rolled out to deal with the Rebellion in Rogue One (not saying that hallway scene would be minimized, that scene will always be top tier).

you guys seem to be forgetting that 2 of the main characters in rogue one were "guardians of the whills" (whatever that actually means), one of whom seems to be the most jedi non-jedi we've ever seen. 3/4's of his lines were variations of "the force is with me."

i don't think vader will play any part in this. it made sense for his appearance in rogue one, but so far this show is just straight up intelligencia spycraft and that's not how vader operated at all. if there are any force users in this show it should be relegated to similar stuff that obi-wan was doing in a new hope. extremely subtle manipulation. anything beyond that would be silly

We know Stormtroopers don't fare well against non-energy weapons (or energy weapons for that matter). Many examples of it in Return of the Jedi, Book of Boba Fat, Andor, etc

If it helps, don't think of them as space nazis in snazzy outfits and view them as space Russkies instead. Throw scores of bodies at the enemy until you wear them down or then run out of ammo. The Sith are the commissars at the back killing any incompetents or people who try running away.

In the Star Wars universe, stormtroopers are the military soldiers of the Galactic Empire, and they are known for wearing white armor that covers their entire bodies. This armor is designed to protect them from both physical and energy-based attacks, and it also includes a helmet that is equipped with a range of sensory and communication devices. The armor is made of a durable material called plastoid, which is able to withstand intense amounts of punishment. Overall, the stormtrooper armor is an essential part of the stormtrooper's equipment, and it plays a key role in their effectiveness as soldiers.

Yeah, yeah, we've all read that shit. Star Wars RPG and Wookieepedia aside, we can all see how that translates to the screen.

Stormtrooper armor was not without its faults, however. The plates made running harder and offered little protection against large scale pulse detonations and blunt weapons.

In science fiction movies like Star Wars, laser weapons are often depicted as being more advanced and technologically superior to melee weapons such as swords and axes. This can give soldiers armed with laser weapons a significant advantage in combat, as they can attack their opponents from a distance and potentially disable or destroy their melee weapons before they can even get close enough to use them. Additionally, laser weapons are often depicted as being able to cut through or disintegrate armor and other protective barriers, making them highly effective against heavily-armored opponents. Overall, the use of laser weapons in combat allows for greater precision, accuracy, and flexibility compared to melee weapons, making them a potentially superior choice in many combat situations.

Except, they have things like Vibro weapons, lightsabers, and Force Pikes. Also apparently Gaffi sticks can smash ST armor.

Also Blasters aren't lasers in Star Wars. They are plasma/particle weapons.
