The game company has to pay the refunds. Steam doesn’t pay game companies the money from game sales right away, so I’m guessing Steam won’t have to pay any, they’d just withhold the payments. I think it’s more of a “you don’t get this money cause it got refunded” and not a true “hey we gave you that money and now you have to pay it back” situation.

Any refund attempts outside the refund window…idk. I guess consumers are going to have to try to get the company to give them refunds.

I don’t think so, they don’t pay out that fast. This is just based on previous info from Maelfyn, it took like two months I think for him to see a paycheck from Steam. Maybe it’s different with higher $ amounts but not sure why that would be.
