In ac4 what do I do with the excess mini game resources? I find and do missions that I haven't unlocked yet then missions that reward the most reales but now I have several hundred resources.
Are you talking about the wood/metal/cloth etc resources? All of those upgrade your boat. Can't really think of other resources than those besides money.

There's the trading resources when your doing the fleet missions. Dont think there're any other uses for them outside of those missions.

Finally beat the game a couple days ago. Amazing game, but the ending seemed very rushed through the last few storyline missions
I mean, WTF, the chick just randomly becomes your quartermaster for no apparent reason and then a kid shows up? Nothing like the first 90% of the game having nothing to do with either one of them. It's not like some relationship had been slowly building with the woman over time or something, or that you were constantly given updates about your former wife and surprise kid. Very odd.

The final battle with Roberts was really anti-climactic as well. His ship was crazy easy to take down and then taking him out was really no different than any other enemy in the game

I stopped the series after brotherhood due to broken xbox. This came with my gpu, i plan on going back and playing revilations and 3. Should i wait to play this until those are done or will this not ruin the story for me?

shouldn't matter. There are a few references in the real world and some DLC/ornamental stuff. It's just fluff that means very little regardless.

did you care about the weird ass story? were you wondering what was going to happen? if yes, then do not play ac4, you'd spoiler the story.

also the games you want to play (and i assume you've played) are desmond's saga
ac1/ac2/acB/acR/ac3 if you care about desmond or his story or wtf happned, then play in order.

I was in the same situation, though for a different reason (got AC:R from GameFly at release and was bored to death by it, so I sent it back after getting through maybe 1/3). I bought AC:R and AC3 for a total of about $12 during the first round of winter sales and I'm slogging through them now in the hope that I'll get to AC4 by xmas. I advise just buying just the base games and skipping any and all DLC. None of it is important in the least.

Actually pretty excited for this, it's out tomorrow I believe:

Play as Adewale, ex-slave turned Assassin, 15 years after the events of Black Flag in his brutal fight against slavery. Discover 9 new single-player missions!

Looks so good - tomorrow should be lots of fun. (Sidenote: Doing 5 levels a day to knock MP out - got 15 levels left... huff, huff...)

My new rig is starting to come in piece by piece; got codes for this and SC:Blacklist for Uplay with my video card. Any chance someone would want to swap both codes for a steam code of just Black Flag?

Haven't checked out for sure yet, but I thought Ubi was going the way of EA with Uplay/Origin?

Own a dozen titles of theirs that all launch uPlay through Steam myself.

So games attached to the steam account that launch uPlay, versus games attached to Uplay launching Uplay(not steam)? So regardless you're stuck with Uplay even if you get a Steam key?

Freedom Cry is proving up to my expectations thusfar - nice touches like the slaves singing spirituals and the like when you're sneaking around plantations is a moving touch.

New gear is a nice touch I didn't expect as well. (Blunderbuss and Firecrackers are new to single player to my knowledge - certainly not an import from AC3/4 at the least)

Just going through my first play through of the game and man if I have to do one more "tailing" or "eavesdropping" mission I'm going to scream. I'm almost to the end of the game thankfully and I'm being reminded why I quit playing this series. The Pirate stuff is awesome but the AC shit is the same shit they've been pumping out for far too long and is very stale.

DLC 100%'ed - took most of the day though probably got 7 hrs out of it counting breaks for food and such.

Definitely enjoyed it - absolutely worth the $6.66 it is with the Season Pass (3 parts, right? I know there's MP bonuses too, but they're just "$0.00 bonuses" to me) - probably still worth it a la carte at $9.99 too.

I hate tacked on multiplayer trophies/achievements in my single player games. That is all.
