i had that in my room as a kid. its very thin steel. it doesnt have to be robust because its not holding a lot of weight. i used to hide my dirty magazines in one panel. i cant imagine those cross bars holding any kind of real weight though.

I thought putting my porn mags in the dropped ceiling was such a clever idea. Probably every teenage boy with a dropped ceiling in his room did it. That frame wouldn't hold 50 lbs, let alone a grown man, and generally the gap to the floor joists is just the width of an air duct, 12-14". Extremely preposterous scene. Oh and BTW, most air ducts are only 12-14" and probably wouldn't hold the weight of a man either, so that whole trope is pretty stupid.

The Expanse
Game of Thrones (yeah very debatable I know)
Glow
Better Call Saul
Barry? Veep? The Crown? Orville? Mindhunter? American Vandal? The Terror? Dark? (all shows i haven't watched yet)
Brooklyn 99
Good Place
Fargo
Counterpart

looking at best airing shows lists though, goddamn times have really changed from 10 years ago when it was Wire, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, etc. Now 90% of the lists are female driven shows like Insecure, Killing Eve, Big Little Lies, This is Us, Dear White People, etc.

Not a great future for guys who like watching guys do crazy shit

List invalidated with no Mr Robot

there is one possibility.

if that frame was robust, you could conceivably walk along the frame like a tight rope. but its not designed that way. it certainly wouldnt make a sound like you were walking on a wooden floor. that steel is about as strong as a curtain rod and the whole thing would collapse if even a kid got up there. its completely ridiculous. this show dun goofed.

You know Season 3 aired a year ago right? And it completely validated and enhanced Season 2.

I have actually done what they showed him doing in that scene before. When I was a teenager I worked at CVS and my supervisor locked her keys in the office, so I had to climb through the drop ceiling to get in (but with a ladder).

My boss gave me incorrect instructions though. What I was supposed to do was go in on a tile right next to the glass, straddle the glass frame, and go back in on a tile right on the other side. Instead, she told me to walk across the frame, which obviously wouldn't support my weight.

However, there was enough space between the drop ceiling and the roof to stand up, and I was able to hang onto the roof trusses and sort of monkey bar my way across a bunch of tiles without putting much weight on them. The challenge was lifting a tile from there with my foot and I ended up breaking one of the tiles into the office. At that point I just dropped through the hole and opened the door from the inside.

season 2 of Mr. Robot makes it ambivalent at this point, the next season has to be glorious. Same reason why I don't put The Americans or True Detective on any such lists

Season 2 was only "bad" because you didn't know what was going on most of the time. Season 3 answered those questions and was overall amazing.

If there's that much room up there then the transit is technically possible, but that would mean he had to jump up and grab something on the ceiling, which would be 12-14 feet off the floor level which is obviously impossible for men who have not been bitten by a radioactive spider.

Yea, that part was definitely wrong. I used a ladder up against the glass since that is the only part able to actually support your weight.

As someone else mentioned earlier, if they had just shown that he stood on a filing cabinet or something up against the glass and went over that way it would be fine. You could stand on that, grab the top of the glass and pull yourself up on top of that and then from there reach the trusses. And you could do it pretty quickly.

I guess my point was that it is extremely plausible he could go over the security wall via the drop ceiling. The spider-man like leap from the floor in the middle of the room is the impossible part. Maybe he could have jumped and grabbed the wall without standing on anything, but again, he'd need to be right up against the glass.

I just watched it again to check:

There was no chair shown but they did not show the area underneath the tile, so there may have been. Also, it was completely against the wall, not in the middle of the area where he was standing, so he went to the side of the building (probably to find something to climb up on).

However, there is definitely nothing he could have grabbed onto while he was hoisting himself up into the crawlspace without fucking up the next tile to the left:

You can clearly see this tile is the one abutting the storefront and it is extremely cramped due to the roof being right fucking there.

First two being Preacher and Fargo?

The other two:

Get Shorty
Fargo

It's hilarious how under the radar Get Shorty is. Easily one of the best shows in recent memory.

Two things working against it:
1.They had to be annoying and put it on one of those à la carte networks (AT&T)
2. The name automatically reminds people of the decent (but not great) movie in the 90s

If you can come up with a way to watch the Get Shorty tv series, do it.

Edit: The Terror isn't a series and it's done, so it doesn't count for "currently on tv" but if it did, it would supplant Fargo for #2.

Pretty decent season in all, although I didn't really like the final scene where Jimmy was gloating over his performance. It would be very careless to do that while still in the building. One of the people from the review board could come around the corner and hear. After his carefully prepared graveyard and reading room appearances, it seemed a bit out of character to be so careless.

Dunno if they're going somewhere with that? Has this been renewed for another season?

Even though that seems absurd, I think they could do it.

I would watch a mexicano gang land version of BB.
