Castlevania

Thursday gonna be a great day, Goblin Slayer movie in the morning and binge Castlevania the rest of the way.

I have very mixed emotions about S3E9.

Binged it.

it was good.. but also felt odd at times.
Not exactly a prologue. not sure I could compare it to a GoT season. but thats probably the most accurate. It did climax decently enough with the A-plot.

4plots. bounces around them.
D-plot. Alucard is bored at home. A brother and sister team of monster hunters from Japan show up, and request aid to kill the Japanese vampire that died in the castle last season, and then to take back their home from the vampires there.
C-plot. Camille takes Hector back home. not a ton happens here. Camille and her sisters plan their empire expansion. This will probably be S4's A plot.
B-plot. Isaac goes on an anti-hero's journey killing people that dare not accept a horde of demons walking through their town, in search of a means to get back and kill Hector for betrayal. Meets nice people, and assholes, and monsters along the way.,
A-plot. Slpyh and Trevor travel around monster hunting. come across a town, with a Priory of monks that appear to worship Dracula and Hell. Town mayor asks for help investigating.


LOTS of "piss", "shit", goat fucking, and "FUCKS" for no reason. I think Ellis might have a fetish.

Trying not to read anything... but...glanced above...

I assume it has nothing to do with Curse of Darkness (yet?) - while "sure" S1 and S2 where "Castlevania 3" there is not much "plot" of that game but "your trevor, you go to kill drac, you meet 3 duders, you kill drac" - COD was a "next gen" game with lore/plot etc. so...i suppose that is harder to "adhere to" in creativeness

Very loosely a tiny bit of Curse of darkness. I figured more was spoiler territory vs very vague plot synopsis.
probably not to spoilery to say St. Germaine is a large part of the A-plot mentioned.

I squealed happily seeing Leon Belmont in episode 7.

I liked it; ended on a -very- much darker note than Season 2, that's for sure haha.

Imperfect but good.

Feels like every character has the same 'voice' and several the same voice actor.
At times characters are 'too charming' and flirtatious.
At times, all throughout every episode, the show runs like female comedy.

Despite these flaws, still overall good.

Hector can't catch a break.

lol ya, although at least it’s a step up from what he had going.

Bit of a slow burn, but came to a head fast at the end. The Alucard subplot outcome was telegraphed from a mile away, although the super dark spot at the end was troubling considering his character.

During the infinity tunnel scene, I wonder if one of those was a homage to Metal Gear? The mech part

Just finished Season 3, and this is going to be like Microsoft OS releases, good, bad, good, bad. I almost didn't watch Season 3, because I disliked Season 2 so much. That's because the Carmilla story line is terrible, and next season that is going to be the main storyline. Ugh...

It was fun at the end to see Belmont kicking ass. That was so well done!

Pretty good season over all. Ep 9 went off the grid to things that never happened land, but everything else was great.
