I understand your hesitation Namon but Mitchell's hit on Beaux Hebert has no place in this game.

That should have been ejection without the no targeting rule. Heck that was (or appeared to be) helmet to helmet there AND roughing the quarterback (the slide rule?), and I completely agree crap like that has no place and is dirty. However, I'm just afraid you are going to have a scenario like a champ game, or even a bowl and you will have an over cautious ref that will basically determine the outcome of the game because a hit looked a little too rough to him. Could you imagine a ref ruling Clownley's now famous hit as targeting? That could very well have changed the outcome of that game. That's what I'm really scared of.

Wtf are you taking about?
Changes with the rules and officiating to remove the violence from the game and make it "safer".

Are you new to football? The only excuse you have for not knowing what I was talking about would be if your under 18, and have been watching football for 10 years, yet somehow were too dense to notice the direction of the game as it changed.

They didn't start instituting the safety rules until just a few years ago. It hasn't been close to ten years. Not to mention the college game has always been more eager to institute new rules. Also, the game doesn't need people with your mindset.

Keep it classy Georgia

Georgia had several instances of defensive players "flopping" to get breathers against Clemsons up-tempo offense. They also did the same to Mizzou when we played them last year, and the same to Auburn in '10 to try to slow down Cam Newton. I'm sure there are other examples as well, I just haven't watched that many Georgia games to have seen any others first hand.

They've been implementing player safety rules as long as there has been football, and every generation whines about how much faggot shit it is that you can't rough the passer, or you have to wear a helmet, or no more crackback blocks, or clipping, or chop blocks, or how there are now defenseless receivers.

But this time is totally different! For all the same reasons that the other times were totally different.

It's happened to us multiple times as well with teams using flopping to try and slow you down so they can substitute. When its that obvious they should eject the players and flag the team 15 yards.

Quick & simple solution that also ties into player safety would be that if a player goes out with an injury, they have to sit out the rest of the possession. Flopping, sitting out one play, and coming right back in is beyond lame.

Northwestern did it to Cal non-stop late in the game yesterday so Cal couldn't find an offensive rhythm.

I'm not convinced he was our best WR, and we're deep at the position anyway. Said the same thing last year, and we ended up losing 2 WRs to season ending knee injuries. No doubt we have angered the football gods.

We opened a 5 or 6 point favorite on USC depending on where you look. Not sure how I feel about that. This game is the season, though, so they better show up.
