Reggie Bush?
Reggie Bush was never payed money. His parents got to live rent free in a house provided by wanna be sports agents 100+ miles away from campus. The NCAA infractions commite hit USC really unfairly. This coming from someone that doesnt like USC, I still feel they got screwed over by the NCAA.

I think USC got scraped over the coals but wasn't it also to do with a car they gave him? Not that it was a very good car even

I believe he was actually getting money (drug money) from some Blood Hills Gang Member. They guy came after him for payback once he went pro and they settled out of court for 300k or something like that. This could all be BS but why pay the guy if there was no money received in the 1st place?

I cant tell if your joking about the drug money, but there was no money invovled. Or at least it never came to light in the NCAA report. This is a good summary. The NCAA took the word of a ex-con that an assitant coach was aware of the benefits and the entire NCAA case is based on that. There is zero physical evdience USC knew. USC didnt cheat, they got screwed by the NCAA.

Not joking or trolling, I just remember reading something about drug money from a gang member and it being settled out of court. I even said it might have all been BS, but having been in a major college program nothing like that surprises me. If anyone here thinks college players all over aren't being paid by boosters, fans and even coaches then I have a bridge I would like to sell you.

EDIT: Here is a link to what I was referring to ...

Hahahah, this is awesome. Oblio did you file a lawsuit against UW for concussions? Fuck you are dense. You still haven't stated what level UW football should be considered at and now you're completely wrong on the Bush stuff. Good to know we have such a football aficionado on these boards to rely upon for our info.

2 mediocre big 12 teams come into the SEC and challenge for best in the conference in not 2 years. Ohio State wouldn't blink and make the SECCG.
Let's clear that up. Ok Mizzou is challenging but A&M finished 3rd in the west division (not the entire conference) last year and will finish 4th this year out of 7, while having the best player in college football.

I saw one earlier that was 1000:1 on $100 to pay $100,100 lol.

I think it's really getting ahead ourselves to start thinking BCS though. Missouri scares me, I don't like that match-up at all. Good, tall receivers have smoked us this season (see: A&M game, and both times we had Bama pinned at the 2 yard line). Wish I could make it to Atlanta but I have a huge test Monday and won't be there

I'm not sure Auburn will even make it to the big game now, but it takes some balls to put down some money on a team that didn't win a conference game last year.

Would you lay down $100 on Arkansas winning it all next year? They are in the same spot Auburn was a year ago....didn't think so lol.

This all started when I stated that you don't need Blue Chip Recruits to have great O & D lines and I said Jake Locker was talented. For those statements you said I was a "retard." I asked you to explain and you didn't. Say what you want about Jake in the pros, as far as college goes he was a stud. The O & D Line statement I still stick to because it is the truth and I have lived and seen it 1st hand, work ethic and attitude win in the trenches. For the most part High School All-American Honors are bullshit. Often times they are a way for recruiting agencies to make money or for magazine to get sold.

Here are two articles that kind of illustrate my point about recruits.

How 2013 NFL draft prospects were rated as recruits - Draft 2013 - Andy Staples - SI.com

Many college All-Americans weren't the top prospects in high school ??" USATODAY.com

You then said UW's NC was because of 2 players, you were wrong on that. You then referred to Steve Emtman as a Blue Chip player in an attempt to prove me wrong, but all you did was prove me right because Steve was a nobody recruit and Lutsky was the Blue Chip All-American Recruit. Lutsky(sp) road the bench and Steve went on to be a Heisman Finalist and #1 pick in the NFL. Also, Blue Chip in Football refers to High School players not college. I am surprised you didn't know that with your vast college football knowledge. In college hoops you might refer to a player as a Blue Chip but I am not even sure of that, just being kind to you yet again.

Regarding the Bush stuff, I said in my 1st post and my 2nd that it might all be BS, I just recalled reading something. So not really sure how i can be wrong on something that I said might be BS? Not like I proclaimed it to be truth.

Finally, let me answer your question point blank because it is clear your reading comprehension sucks. The Huskies right now in their current state are a mediocre middle of the Pac-12 team, they do however have the Campus, Facilities, Stadium, City, Education & Money to do much much better. That is why I said Sark didn't do a good job and why I had hopes Mora could come in and bring the program back to where it could and should be. I never once UW Football was the end all be all to CFB. We should be competing for Pac-12 Titles every year and we should be in contention for a NC 1-2 times a decade. These 6-9 win seasons and losing in bowl games like Vegas and Alamo Bowl are bullshit.

Now that I have answered your question, please tell me why my statement about developing players through work ethic and attitude was so retarded and please explain how Jake Locker was not a talented college QB?

Fyi, Mizzou had been the MUCH better program than A&M in the half decade or so leading up to both of them joining the SEC. Mizzou has 4 10+ win seasons in the last 8 years. A&M has one.

Oblio's random ranting
How do those expectations differ from UCLA, setting aside the fact that there was only one period in UW history where what you are saying is normal was actually happening?

This is about all that needs to be said about Jake Locker:

Year Team Attempts Completions Completion % Yards TDs INT
2006 Washington
Redshirt
2007 Washington 328 155 47.3% 2,062 14 15
2008 Washington 93 50 53.8% 512 1 0
2009 Washington 395 230 58.4% 2,800 21 11
2010 Washington 332 184 55.4% 2,265 17 9
College Totals 1,148 619 53.9% 7,639 53 35
