Well yah lacking those attributes was part of it. But his intelligence (or lack thereof) was a much bigger factor in my opinion. You could really tell that he was completely lost when dealing with the more complex offensive/defensive schemes in the NFL.Those Vince Young vids remind me how disappointing his NFL career has been.... VY could have been a top 10 NFL QB for a decade if he had the right attitude and dedication to his work.
Veiled threats or not, I don't think it is in the best interests of the other teams to allow the Power 5 to have those recruiting advantages. It is going to make competing almost impossible unless you submit and become a part of one of the Power 5.If 75 schools from outside the power five conferences vote to override the autonomy legislation in the next 60 days, the measures would be sent back to the board of directors for further consideration. But NCAA officials don't expect that to happen. Power league commissioners have made veiled threats about breaking off to form their own division if autonomy fails.
I think the first thing the Power 5 vote on is changing Boise State's field back to green.Veiled threats or not, I don't think it is in the best interests of the other teams to allow the Power 5 to have those recruiting advantages. Fuck that field. I'm ok with autonomy now.I think the first thing the Power 5 vote on is changing Boise State's field back to green.
Field color needs to be standardized and in the rules. It isn't a fucking advertisement, it is the goddamn field of play. The single colored ones are bad enough, but the alternating color scheme on Central Arkansas' field should be scorched and the university made to pay a fine.
It must be a shade of green within a certain range. Alternating between a lighter and a darker shade of green every 5 yards is acceptable.Field color needs to be standardized and in the rules. It isn't a fucking advertisement, it is the goddamn field of play.
If the other 75 block it again (this has happened before) then the big 5 will leave the NCAA and form their own collegiate sports authority. The threat has already been made. The offer on the table now is to take our table scraps or get nothing at all.Veiled threats or not, I don't think it is in the best interests of the other teams to allow the Power 5 to have those recruiting advantages.
