Actually, holding their players to high academic standings, and not letting them get away with anything makes me care quite a bit more about the team and the school. I wish more schools had the same level of integrity.
What about your head coach who was responsible for killing some student scared for his life video taping fucking practice. Brian Kelly is the essence of piece of shit.

LOL ND and integrity.....best shit in this thread so far.

I find it problematic that OSU loses badly to an unranked team, but remains in the ranking, while Notre Dame solidly shuts out Michigan (fist time they are shut out since 1984), but only climbs five spots, and doesn't make the top ten.

The ranking system is bad, and it should feel bad.
They shut out a mid tier (at best) team in the worst of the power 5 conferences. It isn't some huge feat.

I'm a double dipper when it comes to College Football sadomasochism, and this week will prove it. My main team, Purdue, is beyond a dumpster fire and are going to get pasted by Notre Dame, and then Tennessee. Like Gilg said, they are definitely improved, but they aren't there yet. I am not looking for good things in Norman, I'll just say that much. I just hope Tennessee is able to keep it closer than Oregon.

It's been a rough few years for Purdue. I hope they have a major change in everything in the next year or so, they really need it.

Institution harbors are child molestor, sanctions are ended early. Institution has no ties to a player getting paid, full penalty must be served even though you're getting the shit sued out of you by the accused. Not that I have anything against Penn St. but the hypocrisy is amusing....

The NCAA just needs to die and disappear. It's a joke of an institution, and it has been for years. I mean come on, the NCAA exists to collect money, the people that run the NCAA are put there by the colleges that are members. Do we really think the NCAA is ever going to hammer a big school that makes them lots of money? No way. I'ts not going to bite the hand that feeds it for the sake of "justice"

USC just served the full sentence and is probably top 5 in income and TV ratings so that's not exactly true, though McNair's ongoing lawsuit probably doesn't help our case as it makes the NCAA look ridiculous. Not that they need much help.

Would be funnier if it was last year. He only averaged 4 ypc this year. His leap over our white walkon starting safety was pretty pimp though.

It has been. To me, the AD simply must get better at scouting up and coming talent. The problem is, when Tiller retired, Purdue had momentum still. Now that Hope and possibly Hazel have completely wiped that out, I'm pretty sure Purdue will be at the bottom like they were for the years leading up to Tiller before they find another diamond in the rough like that. It also didn't hurt Purdue that they had Brees for three years as well, making it the perfect storm.

Mostly offtopic, but about Purdue. Friend of mine who was our highschool QB, and was a bigtime D1 recruit ended up going to Purdue back in the mid 90s. He was all excited, as the incumbent QB(Billy Dicken) was going to be a senior when my friend would redshirt as a Freshman, so it aligned perfectly that he could start for several years at Purdue after Dicken left. Unfortunately, the year after my friend redshirted some kid named Drew Brees came in as a Freshman and well, my highschool friend never started a single game, lol. He stuck it out though and didn't transfer though(although no one really transferred much back then unless
they flunked out or something)

And another one of our D1 players, a DB, went to Purdue as well. I have no idea how two teammates from Kansas City ended up at Purdue, but I guess it happens.
