That mobo you're borrowing has it's own built in wifi, have you tested with that?

Does it? And if so, how do I do that? Here's a picture of my network adapters.

I believe "Realtek 821AE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC" is the card inserted into the board (this came with the board but I had to install it). Is there a way to tell the PC to use the built in wifi instead?

According to ASRock > Z170M-ITX/ac it has wifi built in. Simplest thing to do would be to pull the pci card, hook up the antennas that came with the mobo and see if the problem persists.

Perform the same test from another computer, if possible (phone even) to limit the problem to the machine. Go from there.

My phone, laptop, and PS4 all do not have this problem. It is most certainly just my PC, and has only started occurring since I installed this temporary mobo.

Check MB has onboard stuff turned off, try moving closer if it has a weaker radio and I think you already checked for updated drivers (windows should handle this anyway) so... The only thing I can say is to grab something like this to use in the interim: https://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-AC1200-WiFi-USB-Adapter/dp/B00UA98HS8

p.s. re-read and totally missed where you already said you checked other devi

As far as I can tell, all the mobo stuff is turned on, except for the Bluetooth which I manually turned off because I thought it might be interfering with the Wifi signal. I might try one of those USB adapters, though I've heard they're not great for gaming either. Worst case scenario, I can just wait until my repaired mobo comes in.

Maybe I'm blind but I'm not seeing it. In the picture on that page, the 802.11ac Wifi component it's pointing to is the PCI card.

That's why I mentioned pulling the card. You might want to make sure the onboard wifi isn't disabled in the uefi as well.

Worst case scenario, I can just wait until my repaired mobo comes in.

If all the troubleshooting is too much of a pain in the ass and you can limp along until the replacement comes in, you might as well do that. Could be that everything works properly with the replacement and your effort is mostly wasted.

Well, then I'm at a loss at this point. Hopefully your replacement comes in soon.

I'm having second thoughts about it. The damage to the mobo isn't covered under their warranty and they want me to pay $140. At this point I'm considering just looking for a new one.

At that price you should be able to just replace it yourself. What was the old mobo?

Are you plugged directly into the router/modem? Could be a bad cable, if you are not plugged direct into the router/modem and into a network jack in a room there could be a whole host of problems and interferences that could cause those problems.

If you want to eliminate the router/modem/switch as a variable, you could connect two pc's via a single network cable, assign ip's on the same subnet and do some network tests

ASUS Z170i Pro Gaming. They're not made anymore from what I understand. Shame too, it's really solid.

Unfortunately, cables aren't an option for me. It's gotta be Wifi.

If you are going through walls or ceilings in this case I would suggest using N , it should work better with barriers than AC.

Can anyone tell me if there's HTML code I can add to my page in order to force a cache refresh in the clients browser?

www.pbsenv.com/uas/70940

I update these virtual tours periodically, but no one seems the changes unless I help them clear their cache.

Also, please tag me if you reply. I think this is the first time I've even been in this thread.

Thanks
