Show me where I or anyone else in this thread have said anything about entitled Dallas women that you yourself has not also stated prior. Show me where anything I said was an attack on your wife. Or is being interested in someone's opinion and agreeing with it an attack now? You are arguing for the sake of arguing over petty BS we agreed to bury the hatchet on, but evidently that was a falsehood. This is the wrong part of the forum for this behavior and you know it. But since I can't put a Mod on ignore and I don't want the Beagle treatment, you win Millie.

I feel like this will be the 3rd time I have mentioned that it wasn't obvious exactly what the setting did just from the description. It might have been something like "block people looking for hookups". Pretty sure it was a (or maybe THE) dev who outlined it on the forum and said they would never provide a way to clear the flag from your profile. You could always uncheck the filter on your side, but your profile always had that flag.

Thats fine, I'm just not sure I buy it for the reasons mentioned, I am pretty sure you must be misremembering, but since there's no evidence either way, maybe PoF guy was trying shit sure.

That in no way means that is available today or these chicks are checking it and lying to me or not telling me about it, and absolutely no source on the internet has ever heard anything about this... so... what are we arguing about again?

What have I ever stated about "downtown dallas career women" as a group? Since that group would include my wife, I'd be very interested in what you think I've said on this topic.

Maybe they where mistaken about basic filtering? All of the apps allow you to search for people based upon their stated intentions or friends, short term, long term, casual etc.

The closest I ever got to a dating app was meeting my wife playing EQ, which is not a dating strategy I can recommend to anyone. But I worked at a Cali college IT department so I was somewhat aware of the culture behind it. There absolutely were different options for women than men in some of them, because the fucking Troon thing in our department would not shut up about it, but I am not aware of the specifics. But again, peak MeToo era and you could get away with anything if you slapped the "protection of women" label on it, so it would not surprise me either way.

Yeah, if there's any evidence, it will be on the PoF forums which appear to have been nuked years ago. We can argue about something else now. But I am still going to ask my wife if she remembers it since we met there.

Been that way for decade. Very common to see "if you voted for x im not for you" or some other reference to politics.

Wouldn't be an issue if developers designed in good faith. Given their knowledge of how the marketplace is, they had to know allowing unlimited new matches while currently talking to a match would have this result.

If there were apps with moral good faith consideration in the design, the match process would halt upon 1 match, or even 5 matches. Hell, allow 10 new matches while talking to a new match. Instead it's giving her an unlimited number of new matches while you try to plan your date. That's not a good faith arrangement. The current design relies on women to self-regulate the bombardment of guys she swiped on while she is talking to someone she matched with. I'll go as far to say women are mostly incapable of this, and this is the cause of the flake phenomenon. People's minds just weren't designed to have to self-regulate the current dating app dynamic. It's unnatural to begin with, but the predatory monetization gives incentive to want as much ghosting and flaking as possible, to keep you on the app. keep you engaged, and keep you paying, keep you rolling the dice. The app developers accomplish this via unlimited incoming new matches while you've already matched and are talking to someone. The engineers behind these decision at any given app company need to be held accountable for it. Someone needs to get them on a project veritas hot mic admitting what pieces of shit they are and how the app is designed to make men less successful on them intentionally.

This is an old tactic that dates back to both the passing of the 19th Amendment and prohibition. But they kind of shot themselves in the foot with the whole sexual Revolution thing because the Monopoly is nearly meaningless these days. So they essentially made one of their own oldest tricks obsolete
