'Lobo' Movie Puts Director Michael Bay in Its Sights

The change in leadership has done nothing to help them get a clue over at WB. You're wanting Lobo to be your answer to Deadpool so you go after Michael Bay to direct it? You're not gonna find a Ryan Reynolds for the part so you would think they'd want to get a director who had more of a recent solid history with the tone to play in that sandbox than Bay does. His last Bad Boys movie was 15 years ago.

Lobo will only be good as a Hard R with some people to play off of which will only happen with people who actually enjoy and care about the source material. Michael Bay doing this will just be Transformers and Ninja Turtles all over.. basically pure aids with a side of cancer, and sploisions.

Make a DCU Batman Movie. Superman 2/Wonder Woman 2. Make a Green Lantern Movie.

Build to Justice League 2 in end credit scenes which will be Lex Luther recruiting the surviving antagonists for Legion of Doom, which will be the threat in JL2.

Focus on just that for now to get things back on track. Do the basics. Marvel laid this blueprint out for you.

Then make sequels to well received movies. No spin offs. In Batman 1 or 2 have him fight the Suicide Squad and don't give them another movie on their own.

This movie is merely one of six films featuring the Clown Prince of Crime that Warner Bros. currently has in the works. In addition to this Elseworlds-style origin film, the Jared Leto iteration of the character will appear in the Harley Quinn solo film, Birds of Prey, Suicide Squad 2, the Joker and Harley Quinn film and yet another solo project, which Leto will not only star in but also produce.

People didn't like this edition of the joker, so DC decides to give him 5 films.
Meanwhile Affleck's batman actually turned out to be decent, but they didn't want to give him his own movie.
Makes sense... keep shooting yourself in the foot DC.
