Yeah. I’ll readily admit d4 is way better than LE. But it doesn’t hold a candle overall to either Path of Exiles. It’s simply scratching an itch for me in a casual way.

I actually plan to blitz the new campaign in Eternal or whatever it’s called with my paladin there. Then I’m doing a warlock for the seasonal shit so I can just do free play in season
Last Epoch has some cool things in it. The way you can now remove monolith potential rewards through the weaver tree is super cool. Target farming with uniques around the different monoliths is cool.

The main issue for PoE2 for me is there is no infinite scaling. You get your build really humming around 85 and then the game just feels easy. D4 and LE both have that scaling so you can get a challenge if you want.

D4 is cool but the season lasts for me for 2-3 weeks and gets boring. The good news is after this season slows down we should have .5 from PoE2.

I haven't played Barb or Rogue yet so will probably play one of those to avoid being the warlock in a sea of Warlocks.

I know lots of people do play SSF but PoE1/2 having trade is what keeps me more interested in these games. Having the chance to find a rare item to sell for the big bucks is a good carrot for me.

I wish D4 stopped binding stuff to the account and made some kind of economy and trade system. But thats just me.

But in the end I rarely play more than 3 weeks in PoE. I kinda get bored once I'm in maps.

Bought the expac a couple days ago so I could get through the Vessel expac before launch. Hadn't played since vanilla launch. Kinda annoyed that Torment is locked behind Seasonal progress. Played a Thorns Paladin and it's super easy. Not sure if I'll continue on it for the new campaign or make a different class. But the Warlock doesn't look interesting, which is the main issue I had with D4, all the classes sucked.

I don't think D4 needs trade only because it's so easy to farm the items you need. I do like trade in PoE2 and LE though. D4 I generally have all of my items by day 2 and then it's just an upgrade treadmill on them.

With what they are doing with the cube I suspect the multi GA rare market is going to take off

There’s like that last tier of mythic items that mathematically seem annoying to farm, but also seem to be the only way a few builds or even a class can work at extreme endgame. Mainly thinking of how bad rogue felt in higher torments sans those items. But that’s about it.

For me, when I have been in T4 but not great, I just join boss farm groups or whatever and dodge mechanics while they kill the boss if necessary. Heck, most boss farm groups I join there's like 50 items on the floor when I join the public group.

Spent the time needed to unlock Torment 1 yesterday, and the "pinnacle" Lilith fight opened up, so I tried. What a shit fight. I think I stopped after 20 tries, every single attempt was different in terms of when I died and how much damage I did. I don't know if everything that one shot me was supposed to do so regardless of gear or not. As a Thorns paladin, there isn't much I have to do to deal damage, but each attempt had widely different amounts of damage done to Lilith before some nanopixel edge of a spike touched me.. and instantly dead. Anyway.

While doing Penitent difficulty, all the gear dropped at 750, but so far in T1, everything is still dropping at 750? Will gear in T2 drop at 751?

Keep gearing up. Get to full 800 with your key uniques and you will punk her ass easy enough.

Oh man you tried to do her way too early. Usually you're gear is already min/maxed at least a little (have finalized legendary affixes) + paragon board and relics(or whatever they're called you slot into it) are filled out and leveled prior to attempting her.

Logged onto my original character today, and it seems only new characters get the option to skip the Vessel of Hatred campaign (after its done)? It was funny to see all its gear from that time (3-ish months after launch), lots of !! Missing !! text.

Why is the season starting later than the launch? Annoying, though I imagine servers may be borked tonight regardless. Looking forward to Warlock, though I had a freaking blast with auradin pally a few months ago and would like a crack at the new talent trees as paladin. This game is a ton of fun in short, very spread out bursts. Feels good to play, looks good, class fantasy is good but not a game to no life for extended periods because you run out of interesting stuff to do relatively quickly.

plan to start with pally again since I only went lazy hammerdin previously. there's quite abit more eye candy build like those big carving sword and lance animations that looks really cool. tried spiritborn for abit after but it felt like dogshit so hoping the warlock stepped up

Is there a single person who would start xpac but not want to make a seasonal character? Seems absolutely bizarre, but nbd - just assume the xpac drops at 6:30 I guess.
