Was playing my Ps4 over New Years sitting next to my buddy playing DA:I on PC, and I gotta say if you have a decent computer, there are just some nice things on PC over PS4. PC master race?!

Nothing not already debated, or common knowledge between platforms but the graphics were just a bit more smooth. The targeting of course was a lot easier. Load times between menus and windows was faster on PC. The whole thing just felt/looked more polished, even though it has nothing to do with the game, and everything to do with the platform.

Been off my PC gaming for quite a while, and loving my PS4, but it was interesting to make the comparison.

Most of what you are describing can be greatly rectified by replacing the existing drive in your PS4 with a SSD, especially if you play a lot of digital downloaded games. You can also use mouse and KB in many games, if they support it (not sure if DAI does). I can't speak for your friend's rig, but at our house with really new TVs (240 refresh 3d capable ones) it was pretty indistinguishable from the demo on PC on the same TV, though I admit my video card is not bleeding edge (GeForce GTX 650), so someone with a top end card is going to have an edge for certain. The PC is assuredly better, but a good PC is going to cost a lot more than a PS4, even when you upgrade to a SSD.

Back at MP, the wife and I have been having a blast (we have multiple TVs in our bedroom with their own PS4s /white privilege) and its a lot easier coordinating with her when I can glance at her screen and see whats happening in the backfield (she played ranged guys, I played warriors mostly). It was like playing a LAN party game. Going to see if we can get two more of our RL pals to play regularly with us to cut down on the stupid.

I'm playing through again and I have to say on the mage vs templar thing that I greatly prefer the mage side. No comparison in how awesome that story is and the templar one just isn't even close.

The fade must be purged, there is only one side to chose from.

I'm 2 hours or so in and so far no healing spells, limited potion supply and no autoheal or rest mechanic. Surely I'm missing something here and I'm not supposed to port back to one of my camps every time I run out of potions, then run back out again? Because that's fucking retarded.

Even on Nightmare by the time I was needing to run back to camp I was near a new one (or in more cases had gone past multiple camps) - just focus on unlocking the camps and you should always have one reasonably close. Also stuff like Regen or "Health Bomb" (whatever it's called) potions are good for extending that duration a bit better supply runs.

Hell, I had more issues with having to go back to even fewer options to sell from my inventory overflowing than I did from healing stuff just because each time I ran near a camp I looked to see if I was down more than a few potions and if I did I'd stop a sec to top off.

Also make sure to adjust your guys' behaviors so they aren't chugging potions at 40% health. I kept everyone at 10% and it really helps to stretch out potions.

True - that's the same I did (turned off for some, 20% for mages) as well - forgot that factor. The default suuuuucks.

Yeah I also told my idiots to stop drinking automatically at like 8 potions (after you unlock the upgrade). The Health Regen potions are super useful since they often allow your idiots to heal while they have barrier up. The only camp respawn I totally abused on Nightmare was in EDL....

Do you really have to auto-attack and get the killing blow a 100 times for these weekend "events" in the multiplayer? If so, that's tedious as hell with how clunky melee combat is.

Abilities use your weapon too and count as weapon kills.

I did the dagger one with my assassin in about 15 minutes soloing routine. I didnt bother until i saw someone say that the weekend event chests have a description stating they have a higher chance for better loot.

Every item in the chest was a rare. None were upgrades this week, but I'll definitely make sure to get all the weekend chests from now on. I want that 3 shot bow.

My best 1 handed weapon is 143 dps. My best mace is 55 dps. This is fucking gay as hell.

*edit*

Just did a match on my legionnaire where I honest to god got 2 fucking kills the whole match.

Yeah, the legionnaire one is painful as all hell, my only true offensive option is payback strike and that's it. The assassin quest was fairly easy after getting a few levels although there's no way at all I can solo anything with her right now.

They removed most healing on purpose. I kind of understand where they wanted to go with it (something about being better able to design encounter difficulty etc.) but they don't really seem to have changed anything else about the gameplay from the previous titles. Makes it feel a little awkward. It's like they wanted a Dark Souls healing model but with mechanics designed for the traditional Dragon Age facetanking style.

With the warrior class it works out alright because you can manipulate an extended health pool via gameplay. Mages can work barrier, but it's not on par with guard, and rogues be fucked.

I roll with guard on hit daggers. It helps a ton.

Using the same proc (or any other masterwork slot ability) on two different items doesn't stack btw.
