Stormcaller vs. the (current) final boss:

I haven't bothered doing the stuff to open the final portal on my Reaver yet, but it can only just barely break 10k on the other endgame fights. Kind of curious how a player-controlled Windblade compares, but not curious enough to do the grind on a third character to find out.

My squad is full bis and I last played this before the reaver patch. The stormcaller was always topping the dps charts. I won't be surprised if they get nerfed and the others buffed in the near future.

Looking forward to playing paladin tank in a few years. I hope the dev adds in some kind of zone difficulty setting and gear to go along with it, it would increase the amount of end game content and breathe new life into the low-level content. I missed a bunch of zones leveling up, i'd love to see hard mode versions with appropriate loot so i have a rewarding reason to visit them

also, fuck the dragon in the blight, fuck him right in the neck. Felt real good when i lay that fucker low for the first time. Musta died 40 times to it while farming a mana regen piece from one of the mobs there.

The creator just dropped a preview video of the raid expansion. It talks a lot about the QoL updates coming, as well. Making it easier to distribute loot, changing class balancing issues, and Sim behavior/logic.

That's some amazing improvements:

- Nameplates - main thing I wanted UI wise

- Loot distribution - I was having nightmares about distributing loot among a raid group so this is great, the current system is stupid.

- +1-+5 gear - nooo, my ocd, send help

- windblade buffs - super needed, they get to do something other than buff better dps now ;p

- heal nerfs - hard to evaluate without hands-on, but healing, while required, never felt it was lacking; probably good. ( You'd feel it for sure when tank was undergeared but healers seemed fine wearing whatever ).

The heal changes were probably needed just because the old system was dumb. I’m not a healer player but I remember my friend who was laughing at how easy it was to just use lower level heals and not upgrading was better. Not upgrading skills as a player shouldn’t be the optimal strategy imo.

This might be well known here, but I somehow missed it:
You can change names of the "random" Sims (e.g., not Scrubby or Dancer or any of the persistent names) by using a /setname command while targeting them. I've started renaming the randoms in my guild to friends' characters' names.

Feel free to rename one of your Paladins to Djay if you want.

Partially out of curiosity, partially as leveling/gearing a couple of extra teams for raids, I've maxxed out all the DPS classes to go with my tank.

On guardian, player controlled records so far:
Reaver 17K
Stormcaller* 21.5K
Windblade 10K
Arcanist 7.5K
Paladin(lol) 6K

For comparison, max purple sim players:
Reaver:4.5K
Stormcaller 10K
Windblade 6K
Arcanist 7.5K

One other thing that became even more confusing after playing windblade is the mana thing, I am lost to what they could possibly be spending mana on - priel strike, kick and backstab don't cost mana, and their entire debuff suite totals up to 700 mana and should last the entire fight.

* A fair amount of variance here based on trickshot, but that fight only had two trickshots in it

Other random observation - bis gear for reaver is waaay harder to get than for stormcaller, yay for 3 pieces off infiltrators.
