Sony also paid money to keep FF16 on PS5 (6 month exclusive window minimum) but also gave engineering support to make it run better.
Game better launch with a 60 fps good render rez though.

Really weird that there’s basically nothing going on for this game so close to release. Since its a timed ps5 exclusive I get why it wasn’t mentioned yesterday, but you’d think Squenix would be doing something for it, or Sony at least. No mention of the demo or anything

i guess there isn't a real reason to play since its just the first 2 hours of the real game, but save progress carries over. good way to see if you'd like the game or not though

Story-wise, the demo looks like it could be their best one yet, still want to see how limited you are in terms of exploring. I can get behind the combat system if there are a ton of optional content / side areas like the Final Fantasies of back in the day.
If the whole thing is on rails like I think FF15 was, no thank you. Really hope it ends up being amazing, but not gonna hold my breath.

Eh not saying it will be bad, but there was no indication that FFXV story was going to be as retarded as it ended up in the first 2 hours of play.

Would be funny if we to find out that the character the DMC dev was playing had all the newbie gear on (stuff that auto dodges, etc).
I was on the fence. Finished the demo just now, image popped up to buy it, bought it. They're leaning into the M rating. Very dark.

The only thing dumb was the phoenix / Ifrit scene, like the cinematic part was top notch, but the actual game play might as well have been a cut scene, not sure the point of aiming / shooting / dodging was.
Just hope we get a DECENT Single-player FF again for a change, FF12 was the last one I really enjoyed - even replayed the Zodiac Age and loved that too even though I was familiar with the story.
