i dont understand why some people are so fixated on season 7 just being about war for seven kingdoms and season 8 just being a war against white walkers.

both of these storylines with be resolving in tandem all the way through the end of the series.

Nobody is mentioning when old bitch asks Jaime why he thinks their talk isn't being heard by others.

I'm saying Daenerys finds out quickly what's happening (since Jaime gave up the info anyway) and the dragons show up and torch the fleet and save the Unsullied.

By the way, do we really know how old Varys is? That whole scene between ancient woman Melisandre and Varys seemed loaded with extra subtext. Is it possible that the whole sacrifice of his genitals by warlocks is true... in that this is how he became a warlock?

In Tyrion's case, it's just the fact that being clever doesn't automatically make you a great military strategist. He's going up against military minds/generals like Jaimie and Tarley, both of whom have been leading armies and planning military strategies for a very long time. Tyrion's read a lot of books and managed to become a very impressive functioning alcoholic.

this would require Dany to ride solo on her dragons across a continent, which they already said they weren't going to do.

Obviously Dany on dragons would be fastest way to bring aid, but leave them pretty exposed. Also does nothing to help Unsullied march all the way across the continent...where they would still need ships to get back to Dragonstone anyways.

They can't do much besides hold Casterly Rock. If they were smart they'd just swear fealty to Cersei, but they're retarded loyal to Dany and will probably sepukku. I don't see how anyone could get that whip that's used to control them unless someone betrays her.
