I can get anxiety / panic attacks. A mild form of it. It hits me as a sort of wave of dizzyness or a feeling of poor control of my legs, just feeling uncomfortable, which combines with a feeling of "Ahhh I need to get away". Only really hits me in large public areas ie: main areas of big shopping centers. What I'm explaining is the worst of it, it's never been too serious, I get get it in small doses "Oh there's that thing again". And in truth I can deal with it. It is brought on if I didn't get good sleep / work's been a prick / negative thoughts running through my head.

The best way I've found to combat it is to predict that I might get it. I think to myself before going there " Oh and when I'm there, I will probably get that thing, most likely ( in a specific place )"

And then if I feel it coming on, then well, it's that thing that I sometimes get and I know what it is and that I will be fine.

Yeah, that's really odd.

Paranoia is an odd one. Thinking that you're being paranoid is, in itself, a paranoid thought.

I thought I was paranoid in my 20's after college. I was like man, you know looking back on this, I think I was just constantly worried too much about having to defend myself-- almost ended up packing 24/7 like Sludig!

Then I remembered, I was out in the middle of a fucking mill city in downtown half the time with carloads of hooligans and urban folk constantly driving by with smug looks on their faces. Not to even mention the club patrons. The women were always college women, but the fellas...no sir, not many of them at all. And I see that a lot, even in bigger cities you get ratios with tons of college/educated women going out and the men are all averaging 10+ years older with a mug on their face. Which makes sense because male graduation rates are plummeting both highschool and college especially. My friend would always point that out but it never sunk in. Fucking places sucked! *Bill Oreily impression*

NOT PARANOID. Let's go with overly cautious-- a survivalist.

I'm 30.

They said my haemoglobin was about 60 and should be 150 for an adult male my size, though some people have naturally lower counts? It's at 90 now. I think they use different units here but sounds like divide by 10 for US units.

I had 5 transfusions but they said it wasn't going up like it should, each transfusions should have increased it by at least 10 but for me it was 2-3.

They put cameras in both ends and found nothing, so must have been in the middle somewhere (small intestine?), I'm out of hospital now but they have more tests to do...
Sounds like ulcer, cancer would be highly unlikely. Other options would be some food allergies, for example celliac can screw up your blood production so even though the bleeding looks like the main suspect, your hemoglobin could've been low way before that and your body adjusts. IIRC the lowest recorded hemoglobin of a patient that walked inon his own at my faculty hospital was 13 g/l. US has this weird habit of using their own units, event though the rest of the world does something else, blood sugar is another one.

I'm going to assume they did complete blood count already, so leukemia is unlikely if not ruled out already, they might want to run you through a CT to make sure there's nothing else, but sometimes you don't find anything and just silently hope it doesn't happen again.

Well, if they did both an endoscopy and a colonoscopy, the goal would have been to found some form of ulcer or variceal bleed. Sounds like everything was clear. You've had absolutely no blood in vomit nor stool?

edit: They are making you drink a barium? I've only seen people use this for modified swallow screens (inability to drink) to assess for reflux and aspiration risk. You sure you're not drinking Omnipaque to do a CT scan with contrast?

Since they didn't do it ASAP, the chance of finding anything went down, since any bleed had chance to clot and heal on its own. I guess they are also looking for a possible diverticle, which you can catch with just a plain xray. If he's fine, is there really anything CT would show that you would be able to solve ? Small bowel carcinoma is the only thing that comes to mind, but it is very unlikely. If it happens again, I'm sure he will fly through a CT, but until then there's really not much of a profit. If he were in USA, I'm sure he would've had it done and pay for it, but in socialised healthcare the doctors tend to be a bit more conservative.

so, chemotherapy gave me neuropathic pain in my feet, particularly in my toes. the main thing that bothers me is that they constantly feel cold... sometimes they aren't really cold but just feel that way, other times they are freezing to the touch when i feel them with my hands. i found a product that's been helping... HotHands Toe Warmers... they're like those hotpacks for your hands, but, yeah, for your toes... adhesive on one side to stick to your socks. they're fucking awesome. my feet haven't actually felt comfortable like this in about a year.

Those warmers sound amazing. During the winter my feet are always freezing.

My wife used to be a mail carrier for the USPS in new England states and those were a must in the winter. No matter how many layers, delivering in the snow on foot for 8 hours was brutal

I think at this point I'm just going to wither away, regardless of the other issues. Pre-before all this stuff started 3 years ago I was right at 185-190 lb at 6'-0. I'm still 6'-0 but down to 135lb now. And yes I've had multiple multiple HIV test.

After his weight plummeted to a shocking 121 pounds , the 6 foot actor swiftly bulked up again in just six weeks to play the Caped Crusader in Batman Begins by gorging on pizza and ice cream.

Well the good news is that since this has been going on for so long undiagnosed, chances are it isn't cancer. However the fact that you have been shitting blood for weeks and it's still undiagnosed is a travesty.

Well the bleeding stopped after a few days in hospital. I've had more tests but they still have no idea what caused it.

They are now doing another round of blood tests to see if my haemoglobin is steady now.
