I think you might be okay with people countering you with that, because it probably sucks. That's a pretty good card for fatigue decks though.

I assume bomb warrior would only truly work against a slowish deck anyway, and this card is likely to be in most slow decks.. might even see mid-range. But who knows. Discover 5 is pretty strong, especially with high % for class cards, then get 2x of those cards, so consistency isn't terrible. Could see 2 extra pyroblasts in mage, or flamestrikes, or fireballs, or 2x Tirion in paladin, or whateverthefuck is needed. It's really strong.

Complete My Deck, Part 2

Hearthstone’s EVEN better at helping you build decks than ever before. We’ve made some improvements to the Smart Deck Builder introduced in our last major update:

  • Now use the smart deck builder to complete decks from the deck selection screen with a single click
  • Easily convert Wild decks to Standard with a single click using the intelligent card replacement algorithm
  • Please note that the smart deck builder will need some time after Rise of Shadows goes live in order to gather the necessary data to effectively suggest cards from the new set. We recommend waiting a couple of days before using this feature to create or complete Rise of Shadows decks.

Rise of Shadows – Launching April 9

Under the leadership of Arch-Villain Rafaam, notorious ne’er do-wells from across Hearthstone’s history have heeded the call and banded together under the decidedly unsubtle but exceptionally fitting moniker - the League of EV.I.L.!

Onward to Dalaran!

After years working on their own and constantly being foiled, flustered, beaten, and bested, these masters of mischief have cooked up a scheme sure to bring them out of shame and into infamy! Their target? The magical floating city of Dalaran…

  • New Minions: Lackeys – Generated by EVIL cards that add Lackeys to your hand, Lackeys are 1/1 minions that, while lacking in terms of raw stats, have powerful Battlecry effects.
  • New Spells: Schemes – Schemes are powerful spells that become even more powerful the longer they stay in your hand.
  • New Keyword: Twinspell - Twinspells are spells that, once cast, create a copy of themselves in your hand to be used whenever you like.

Once Rise of Shadows launches, keep an eye on your quest log for a series of Legendary quests that will reward Rise of Shadows card packs along with card packs from other Year of the Dragon sets.

Year of the Dragon

The Year of the Dragon starts soon, meaning that we are waving a fond farewell to the Year of the Mammoth sets. Once Rise of Shadows launches on April 9, you will no longer be able to purchase packs from the Journey to Un’Goro, Knights of the Frozen Throne, and Kobolds & Catacombs expansions, and any cards from those expansions will no longer be playable in Standard game modes.

Arena Updates

ERAEO99MEDLS1550882237489.png

With Rise of Shadows, the Arena will start a regular rotation of available cards from both new and older expansions. To kick things off, the available cards will have a decidedly… E.V.I.L. theme. Here’s which sets you’ll have access to when choosing cards in the Arena, starting April 9:

  • Basic
  • Classic
  • Naxxramas
  • Whispers of the Old Gods
  • Mean Streets of Gadgetzan
  • The Witchwood
  • Rise of Shadows

Hall of Fame

The following cards have been moved to the Hall of Fame on April 9:

  • Doomguard
  • Naturalize
  • Divine Favor
  • Baku the Mooneater
  • Genn Greymane
  • Gloom Stag
  • Black Cat
  • Glitter Moth
  • Murkspark Eel

Up to the maximum number of cards you could put in a deck, we will give you the full dust value of any cards you have that are being added to the Hall of Fame set. The dust will be automatically awarded upon log-in once the Year of the Dragon begins.

Shadow Bundle

Embrace the shadows and celebrate the launch of Hearthstone’s new expansion with this limited-time bundle, available from April 9 – 15.

Rise of Shadow Packs and an Arena Ticket

  • Get 7 Rise of Shadows packs plus two bonus packs and one Arena Ticket bundled together. Don’t delay! This Bundle will disappear in the blink of an E.V.I.L. eye.

Game Improvements

  • Poisonous, Lifesteal, and Overkill Update
    • Before this patch, if a card lost its Poisonous, Lifesteal, or Overkill keyword in the time between dealing damage and applying its keyword effect, that effect would not be applied. After the patch, if a card has a Poisonous, Lifesteal, or Overkill keyword at the moment it deals damage, that keyword effect will apply no matter what. As an example, imagine a Stubborn Gastropod attacks an Acolyte of Pain. Then when Acolyte of Pain triggers, it draws a Scroll of Wonder, which in turn casts Silence on the Stubborn Gastropod. Before this patch, the Stubborn Gastropod would not apply its Poisonous effect, and the Acolyte of Pain would live. After the patch, the Stubborn Gastropod will still apply Poisonous after being silenced and the Acolyte of Pain will die.
  • Fixed an issue where playing The Golden Monkey with Augmented Elekk on the board would cause extra legendary minions to be shuffled into your deck.

  • Updated the text of Masked Contender from "play" to "cast."
  • Fixed an issue where Shadow Reflection could show incorrect card art after multiple cards are played quickly before the animation sequence of Valeera the Hollow finished.
  • Fixed the history panel so that it correctly displays the enemy Hero with a red banner if that player is using a golden Hero.
  • Fixed an issue with Brawl that could cause it to choose a minion that died before the Brawl effect resolved.
  • Fixed an issue where secrets stolen by Treasure from Below could display the card art of the stolen card in the history panel.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a minion to be unable to attack for a turn if stolen after attacking it with the Supercollider weapon.
  • Fixed an issue where playing Krag'wa the Frog the turn after playing a Spellstone would give you a copy of the Spellstone that kept the original's progress towards the next upgrade.
  • Fixed an issue where clicking on a Charge/Rush minion as it comes into play could make it unclickable for the rest of the game.
  • Fixed an issue where Stargazer Luna would not trigger if the right-most card in hand was a minion and changed controllers after coming into play.
  • Fixed a number of display issues with golden card animations on some older cards.
  • Master of Disguise will no longer play the stealth animation on the opposing Hero if there are no valid targets on the board.
  • [Mobile] Fixed an issue that could cause some phones to display the UI intended for tablet devices.
  • [Mobile] Centered Lady Liadrin's face in the deck tile.
  • [Mobile] Fixed an issue that caused broken plant textures on the Rastakhan Rumble board when viewed on some devices.

37 packs. 1 legendary. Can’t ever imagine spending money on this trash.

You are almost due for one. Open up to 13 more with gold as you go. Pity timer is 10 packs for 1st legend, then every 40 packs after that. I usually wait till I have 4k gold saved up then buy 20 packs, then sets of 5, stopping only when I get a legendary to reset the timer.

Only played a bit. Made bomb warrior and some paladin decks fucking around. Now I may be crazy. But classes can do an insane amount of shit per turn now compared to previous expansions.... It is really annoying.

I don't think I am going to like this meta. This entire expansion seems to revolve around the ability to pull wild shit out of your ass via RNG and win because of it. Really not trying to bitch but this is extremely consistent or I am just super unlucky.

45 packs, 4 legendaries on main account. Dust from their previous fuckups helped net me 11k total dust as well. Cleared out extra epics from new wild cards and I netted 12 legendaries and the epics for 6 total competitive decks. I'm three legendaries (Khadgar, 2 Lock ones) from having all the ones I'd really like to try out and didn't spend a penny. Yeah, don't see my self ever buying another pack unless they do a $20 deal again. This game just isn't worth $50 every expansion.

The wild shit is cool to do and watch but winning because of RNG has become their calling card. That or make a very powerful deck like Wall Priest even more powerful with the new legendary. Not a fan and just another reason I put my money and most of my time into Arena. Far better game.

To be fair though, the free legendary paired with mass resurrection just feels dirty. A good kind of dirty.

I watched Dog play a little to see if it sparked my interest (it didn't). Same frustrating bullshit. Game is so stale, nothing feels fresh and I was actually getting frustrated watching Dog play. He didn't even lose to RNG bullshit, but there were some decks he just had 0 response to handle - as a Handlock. Mechathun druid, Secret Paladin, other stuff I can't remember, and of course Handlock itself can be cancer too with all the removals and turn 4 giants. Whatever bros.

Pretty much the only reason I play this game is because its the only ultra casual game I really like. Just do quests and drink a beer or two... never spend money though because fuck that. The name of this meta is just absolutely insane snowball tempo/midrange as far as I can tell. Which is again something they said they wanted to prevent. Idiots. Some control here and there. I'd say from previous metas its a very minor improvement. Need to run board clears in every competitive deck outside of insane aggro.

zzeris zzeris you mean Catarina Muertes or whatever? I like Wall Priest and Rush warrior just like last meta lol. Fucking around with Midragne Dragon Paladin but its not doing so well.

Everyone is going to try and make bomb warrior work this week. By next week I’m guessing aggro will be back shitting up everything.
