Patron isn't really gone. That's probably the worst thing about secret paladin (the fast aggro ones not the midrangy style) it encourages MORE patron because its nearly a hard counter.Turns out a Priest playing back to back double Lightbomb's is pretty good at tearing apart secret paladin. I did not see that coming. That mother fucker.
I think you guys are exaggerating saying playing against Riddledin is worse than Patron ever was. That's just ridiculous and it's only because you're having to deal with it *right now*. Secret Paladin is annoying, but it has counters and weaknesses and can't win on an empty board, and it also has inteeractivity. Patron simply doesn't, not really. And it'll come back, guaranteed.
If you look at their meta snapshot, Patron is in a Tier of their own (Tier 1), all other top decks are under patron in Tier 2. And their latest snapshot had Secret Paladin ABOVE Patron in Tier 1. Are you seriously saying it's the best deck in the game? Are you seriously claiming it isn't a tier 1 deck? Maly lock fell off pretty quickly once people learned how to play against it but it was still a tier 1 deck.
Secret Paladin doesn't even fit their description because:Tier 1:
These are the current top-level decks in Hearthstone ranked play. They are the closest to optimized or have such ridiculously powerful combos and synergy that they overwhelm the competition. Consequently, losing to these decks often feels "unfair" or "overpowered" because of how much more efficient and sometimes forgiving the deck can be. Play these decks with the understanding that you probably should be avoiding the friend request you get after winning.
Maybe it's ranked higher because the stupid fucking deck somehow requires even less skill to play than Patron warrior.Yeah that's real retarded sir. There are plenty of decks that do just fine against secret paladin, and Patron demolishes secrets.
The way it was explained to me was that you just needed to do any long animation at the end of your turn. For every second of animation, your opponent would lose one second of their turn.I thought it wasn't joust itself, joust just happens to take a while. Wasn't there a way to abuse Noz with brewmasters?
Yeah, there is/was a way to abuse Nozdurmu that way. The sandstorm visual effect would be cumulative. If you bounce Nozdurmu a few times, you can't see jack shit anymore because everything is glitched. I'm not sure if it's still possible to recreate this, but I witnessed it once or twice and it was hilarious.I thought it wasn't joust itself, joust just happens to take a while. Don't know if that is true but that wasn't the "abuse" basically you played Nozdormu then you played two brewmasters back and force bouncing each other then end your turn. The continued animations of the brewmasters would end your opponents turn with out them being able to attack.Yeah, there is/was a way to abuse Nozdurmu that way.
