I am cautiously pessimistic. That's about as good as it gets.cautiously optimistic

This movie will undoubtedly suck but it's Highlander. Could it really be worse than the sequels? Even with the woke bullshit that will also undoubtedly be in it.
I had no idea an anime of it existed but since you brought it up... Yeah,why wouldn't it exist?! It's prime for that style of animation. I don't watch anime.There are essentially 2 main continuities.
HL1 then HL3 - done
HL1 -> Series -> EndGame -> Source
HL2 any edition is just kind of out there
Highlander the search for vengeance anime OVA is awesome, but a continuation of the HL1-Series-EndGame without The Source happening
You /could/ put the anime after HL2 if you wanted, dismissing 3 as 3 /ends/ it moreso than even 1 - but you cannot put it with The Source as that ends it all (in the fakest and gayest way)
The Source- should be watched for the first 10-15min, the dock scene then turned off.

There was only ever one Highlander movie. It was a perfect film and needs no sequels. The TV series was pretty great too.

Edit*. Just looked it up. It was announced in 2008. Talks of production" ramped up in 2013".
Filming is to start early 2026. So 18 years... Better part of 2 decades lol
Yes.is there enough lore for Highlander to explain why Immortals don't use explosive weapons that melt heads

The energy release is subject to how the immortal was killed. Iirc, there was an immortal blown up and the energy became part of the explosion.is there enough lore for Highlander to explain why Immortals don't use explosive weapons that melt heads, I mean wouldn't said scenarios essentially cause the same decapitation?
So the immortal still dies, but the Quickening can't happen?The energy release is subject to how the immortal was killed. Iirc, there was an immortal blown up and the energy became part of the explosion.
Pretty sure immortala have died by other means with no other immortals close enough and nothing happened.So the immortal still dies, but the Quickening can't happen?
