I remember that episode of Entourage, where they are looking for a house, and have like $1,000,000 to spend, and it's some dumpy bungalow somewhere. Why on earth do you stay there?? In my city, $1,000,000 will get you a fucking legit mansion on 5 acres in the nicest neighborhood.
Honestly, I'm thinking of moving from SoCal before end of year

Well, you got called out by BoozeCube.

The every day beater. My vintage patek is still in Switzerland being serviced after 6 months since Henri stern takes fucking forever. Rest of my collection is in a safe elsewhere.

It was a gift from my parents in 2009, I'll wear it for life until either it somehow vaporizes or gets stolen. Although a white face yacht master has really been interesting me lately!

Because dumbnut, I'm at a point where I have people who manage the majority of my portfolio (obviously not the horses..) and do my taxes. Wealth management 101 kid. When you reach the point where you can outsource stupid shit for little $ relative to ur income u do it.
Yacht is shit. Honestly I'm just about done with this roley, Only other roley I'd get is a Daytona, maybe. From now on prob Patek or nothing. AP Royal oak is cool, may check it out. My watch guy has been on a RM streak, getting some really interesting ones in. Cheapest I think I've seen is like $150kish.

I went from about 40k to 85k within the course of the last year as we had massive turnover within my department. All of the engineers and mgmt that had been there for 10+ years left within 3 months of each other. I was the only one remaining with substantial experience, so it was basically the perfect storm. It was nice getting a bump like that, but it has also been hell trying to keep things afloat since. Going from a mid tier tech to having to answer to execs and board of directors has been a rollercoaster.

Wife is making 45k in residency right now (lol), but finishes in June. She will end up somewhere between 250-300k out of school, so yeaaa really looking forward to this Summer.

Maybe. When your ophthalmologist (who's a female mind you) walks into your eye exam wearing the same watch, you know it's time for an upgrade. Honestly rolex is like the Benz of watch, entry level high end. Every pleeb has one or a knock off now. Ill prob just do patek or something more exotic from now on.

I can pretty much get 35% off any watch I want (with factory warranty) from a guy I know who's a middle man for tons of boutiques who cant have capital like that tied up in overhead.

My flight just got delayed in Atlanta, so I am not getting into Virginia until like 1am. While I make somewhere between shit and decent money on an hourly basis I certainly feel like a wage slave. I don’t get paid for travel time really other than a per diem on travel days which is $72 which I also get during the week.

My hourly varies as my company bills us out to clients between $295-595 an hour based on the contract we set up with them. So depending on the client my hourly wage will fluctuate between $30ish-$120ish an hour based on different factors plus I get bonuses and commission on top. The work is really easy so my job isn’t too stressful but as a consultant to various businesses it can feel a little odd charging these rates with clients who’s business if some cases are failing and might have little or no money. The company pitches us as turnaround specialist think “the prophet” if you have seen that show.

Still I feel like the company I work with has a serious lack of ethics. I always try and do what is the best for the client which has gotten me chewed out a couple of times for not gouging people.

I ended up last year at $130k with taking 4 weeks of vacation during the year but sometimes I am not sure the hassle and travel is worth it as I have to give up a lot in other areas.
