Mystery of Self-Tidying Shed Solved in Viral Video
In February McKears had first noticed a few plastic clips finding their way into the container, which he uses to store bird feed. But when he started leaving other objects out, they started to find their way there too. “I was worried, I’m 72 and you hear of things going wrong with 72-year-old gentlemen in the mind,” he said. “That’s why when we proved it wasn’t me, I was happy.

The trail camera had been set up by a friend of his who is a wildlife photographer. According to McKears, the mouse spent two hours tidying away the objects in front of the camera.

South Korea: Hundreds of Hotel Guests Were Secretly Filmed and Live-Streamed Online
About 1,600 people have been secretly filmed in hotel rooms in South Korea, with the footage live-streamed online for paying customers to watch, police said Wednesday, March 20.

Two men have been arrested and another pair investigated in connection with the scandal, which involved 42 rooms in 30 accommodations in 10 cities around the country. Police said there was no indication the businesses were complicit in the scheme.

Cameras were hidden inside digital TV boxes, wall sockets and hairdryer holders and the footage was streamed online, the Cyber Investigation Department at the National Police Agency said in a statement.

The site had more than 4,000 members, 97 of whom paid a $44.95 monthly fee to access extra features, such as the ability to replay certain live streams. Between November 2018 and this month, police said, the service brought in upward of $6,000.

“There was a similar case in the past where illegal cameras were (secretly installed) and were consistently and secretly watched, but this is the first time the police caught where videos were broadcast live on the internet,” police said. South Korea has a serious problem with spy cameras and illicit filming. In 2017, more than 6,400 cases of illegal filming were reported to police, compared to around 2,400 in 2012.

Barbra Streisand says Michael Jackson’s accusers were ‘thrilled to be there’ and his ‘sexual needs were his sexual needs’
I'm uncertain of the full context of these quotes but good lord, lol.
“His sexual needs were his sexual needs, coming from whatever childhood he has or whatever DNA he has," Streisand told The Times. “You can say ‘molested,' but those children, as you heard say [grown-up Robson and Safechuck], they were thrilled to be there. They both married and they both have children, so it didn’t kill them.”

Streisand, who crossed paths with Jackson during their careers, added that she feels sorry for both the alleged victims and Jackson. “I feel bad for the children,” she said. “I feel bad for him. I blame, I guess, the parents, who would allow their children to sleep with him. Why would Michael need these little children dressed like him and in the shoes and the dancing and the hats?”

WWII - The Great Escape remembered 75 years on
Air Commodore Charles Clarke, who is now 95 years old, was one of a handful of men who survived the notorious Stalag Left III camp in the now Polish town of Zagan – and is the only man still alive today. By the time he arrived at the camp in February 1944, the grand escape plan – which inspired the 1963 film starring Steve McQueen , James Garner and Richard Attenborough – was already well underway.

The legendary prison-break has become one of the most famous chapters of World War Two, causing large-scale disruption to the German war effort as tens of thousands of Nazi forces were re-assigned to hunt for the men who escaped. The PoWs used spoons and scoops made from tin cans to dig the 30ft-deep tunnels they nicknamed Tom, Dick and Harry, fashioning pouches from old socks in their trousers to scatter the dug-out soil.

But the incredible mission ended in tragedy, as a furious Adolf Hitler ordered 50 of the 76 escapees to be rounded up and shot as a lesson to the other PoWs.

1936 Bentley found in a garage sells for $596,670 at auction
A 1936 Bentley 4.5-Litre Vanden Plas Tourer previously owned by former RAF pilot Charles Blackman has sold at auction for £454,250 at the H&H Classics sale at Duxford. It last sold for £260 in 1952 and has spent the last 30 years locked up at Mr Blackman’s home in Stockport. But the Bentley was unearthed following the death of the former pilot and sold as part of his estate.

Despite being in a ‘barn-find’ condition, the Bentley fetched more than double the pre-auction estimate of between £150,000 and £200,000, helped in no small part by the fact that it’s one of only six W.O. Bentley 4.5-Litre cars assembled by the service department using new old stock parts in 1936.

Mr Blackman served in the RAF 500 Squadron and took part in the bombing of Hitler’s mountain retreat in Bavaria in April 1945. In the same month, he made emergency food drops on the German/Dutch border where people were facing famine.

Pilot Crashes Stolen Plane in Reported Attempted Murder of Wife
About 50 people narrowly escaped death on Saturday at the Matsieng Airfield a few kilometres north of the country's capital Gaborone. It is understood that the man had had a physical altercation with his wife at a baby shower held at the airstrip before he was chased away. He allegedly stole the aircraft and crashed it into the party venue.

In a statement, the Matsieng Flying Club said an uninvited guest at a party, who was identified as Viljoen, got into a domestic dispute before leaving the venue. Minutes later, a King Air twin-engine aircraft allegedly stolen by Viljoen started making several low passes.

A man said that the pilot called his friend who was at the venue. “He phoned his one mate on the ground there who was still at the party and he wanted to know where his wife was. The guy that he called started shouting so that everybody could run away. And then he flew into the Matsieng clubhouse.”
Firefighters Dunk Smoking BMW Hybrid Electric Vehicle in Huge Vat to Put It Out
“This morning an electric car started to smoke in a showroom,” the fire department wrote on Facebook (translation from Dutch). “The employees of the garage and the fire brigade acted quickly to drive the car outside. Because it is an electric car, a creative response was necessary.” The car was immersed in a container of water because extinguishing it in the ‘normal’ way is difficult with these cars,” the fire department said in the statement. “The car will remain in the vat of water for the next 24 hours,” they added.

Battery-powered vehicles are notoriously difficult to deal with when they catch fire. A Tesla Model S crashed on a Florida motorway on a Sunday afternoon in February, and a day later crews were still struggling with the car’s damaged lithium-ion battery pack, which kept reigniting.“Battery fires can take up to 24 hours to extinguish. Consider allowing the battery to burn while protecting exposures,” Tesla says in its Emergency Response Guide.

The 30 Year Old Mystery of Garfield Phones Washing Up on French Beaches is Finally Solved
For more than 30 years, novelty landline phones in the shape of the orange tabby cat, featured in Garfield comics, books, movies, and television, have washed-up on the beaches of northern Finistere and left local beach cleaners guessing where they came from. “Our association has existed for 18 years and in that time we have found pieces of Garfield telephones almost each time we clean,” Claire Simonin, who leads beach cleaning group Ar Viltansou in Brittany, told AFP.

For years rumors had spread through the community about a lost shipping container that was slowly releasing the old phones and littering the beaches for decades. A local finally admitted he had seen the container after a storm hit back in the 1980s. Ar Viltansou then located it in a partially submerged cave that could only be entered safely at low tide.

“We found this incredible fissure that is 30 meters (100 feet) deep and, at the very bottom, there were the remains of a container,” Simonin said after the expedition. “Under the boulders in front of the entrance, we found 23 complete handsets with electronics and wires, they were everywhere.”
