Nathan Daniel Larson, 40, of Catlett, Virginia, was arrested at Denver International Airport after allegedly kidnapping a 12-year-old girl from Fresno, California. He is facing felony charges in Fresno County for kidnapping, child abduction, soliciting child pornography from a minor and meeting a child for the intention of sex.

Larson runs a website that encourages raping children and sharing the images and photos, according to the Fresno Sheriff’s Office. He had been grooming the 12-year-old girl for two months, meeting her through social media, the sheriff’s office said in a news release Saturday. The child was reported missing Monday.


Police believe he coerced the young girl into running away with him, and they said Larson flew from Virginia to Fresno to pick her up at about 2 a.m. They then used a ride share to go to the Fresno airport where Larson allegedly forced the girl to wear a wig and told her to act like she had a disability and couldn’t talk so she wouldn’t speak to anyone as they headed to Washington, D.C. on a flight with a layover in Denver.


Fresno detectives contacted law enforcement in Denver, and a Denver police officer assigned to the local FBI task force arrested Larson at DIA. Authorities also rescued the young girl and reunited her with her family Monday night, according to the sheriff’s office. She was not injured.

A 12-year-old girl was rescued in Denver after she was allegedly kidnapped by a pedophile and white supremacist in California, authorities said Saturday.

“During the investigation, detectives uncovered Nathan Larson has a deeply disturbing background. He is a white supremacist and a well-known advocate for pedophilia. This is a man who runs a website, which encourages the raping of children and sharing of naked photos and video of children being raped. During the past two months, Larson was able to convince the Fresno girl, through manipulation and grooming, to send him pornographic images of herself,” the sheriff’s office said.

Additionally, according to Mims, Larson threatened to kill the president of the United States in December 2008 while he lived in Boulder, Colorado. At the time, George W. Bush was president and Barack Obama had just been elected.

Larson pleaded guilty in federal court. In October 2009, he was sentenced to 16 months in federal prison. He served 14 months.

Mims added that in 2017, Larson ran for political office as an Independent for state House in Virginia. He lost the race.

Larson is being held in the Denver County Jail on a misdemeanor charge of harboring a child. However, he is also facing felony charges in Fresno County for kidnapping, child abduction, soliciting child pornography from a minor and meeting a child for the intention of sex.

Russian historian jailed for dismembering partner

Oleg Sokolov, an expert on Napoleon, was sentenced to 12 and a half years in prison.

Oleg Sokolov, 63, an expert on the Napoleonic wars, pleaded guilty to the murder of Anastasia Yeshchenko, 24.

He was found drunk in a river in November 2019 with Ms Yeshchenko's severed arms in his backpack.

In court Sokolov admitted shooting Ms Yeshchenko four times with a sawn-off shotgun, before chopping up her body with a saw and kitchen knife. A stun pistol was also found in the backpack.

Police later found other body parts further downstream and in Sokolov's flat.

He is said to have planned to get rid of the body before publicly taking his own life while dressed as Napoleon.
