Moment of silence for those who went to cash at the bottom.
Have a feeling this rally has now caught a lot of people offsides. Could be the FOMO fuel needed to push year end. Things could derail quickly though based on Fed communication. Bearish positioning was getting the strongest it had been since COVID crash. We are right at the next resistance which is a dangerous place to open. I may put some stops on runners.

I am reading lots and lots of funds have gone short 7 of the last 10 trading days. A squeeze could be in the works and looking at the futures this morning this candle looks like it just got lit. Did I mention I am down to 3% cash and I was holding that for a possible NVDA re-entry?

I only had 1 client freak out and sell during the dip that I know of - not to say several didn’t freak out since I work with mostly folks that are convinced the Bidenpocalypse is going to be any day now.
you can coach people up to a degree and it feels great when they do the right thing during a tough week, but it’s tough to keep their hands diamond when 1/2 wants to jump ship and you can see it in their eyes - just waiting for a reason to gtfo. (Usually the wife)

with MRK down in the potential buy zone, I am digging through their financials. They have spent an extra fuckton on R&D the last 12 months and in 2020. Coronachan obviously is my guess. My concern that that they miss the boat on the free tendies that PFE got and when the fearporn dies they are left holding the bag on lots and lots of wasted R&D billions.- 1

Im sure this gap up will get filled to the downside, they always do.
Just a question if were making lower highs, today will be interesting, a lot of fomo and regret yesterday so its possible but really nothing has changed to push new highs for tech, just this mythical santa rally despite a rapidly degenerating fiscal environment.

It touched $55 today. No one knows how "good" mobileye actually is. Its EV so it will sell for insane money to someone or investors if they spin it off as a public company. Maybe sell half for profit and let the other half ride and hope Mobileye drives it higher?

I'm not sure your assumption is correct. I have not seen any breakdown of how that R&D is spent so we are left to speculate but I think what they are working on is much broader than hoax flu, lots of cancer drug developments.
