Yeah but Red Skull can't be Cap because he is stuck on that Planet handing out soulstones.

I would have preferred Bucky too but also agree with the logical reasons why it couldn't have been him, maybe it will work out.

Well, since I doubt there will ever be another solo Captain America film. They could just take the mantle from Falcon in his Disney+ series and have John Walker be made Captain America like they did in the comics. It would be interesting to see a more violent Cap for a few movies/shows.

Yeah but she also turned and worked for SHIELD for years before she was an Avenger. Bucky can replace the physical Captain America, but he doesn't fit the patriotic mantle. In the comics no one knew Bucky was the Winter Soldier when he took on the Cap mantle. When his Winter Soldier days became public he was stripped of the shield, put on trial, and ended up going to jail.

alright, but at least he had some time as Cap, they could have milked it for a few films and developed his replacement. the way it stands now, they need to retire the Cap title or bring back Evans.
