That's true whether the studio is open or not. I'm just glad the name can't be trashed any more than it has been, not that it could really get any worse after Veilguard.the rats will just invade new ports.
They've been pulling Barvs for a decade. I am surprised they lasted this long.Dragon Age: Inquisition (2014)? I don't even know how that did financially, but that is probably the last well-received BioWare game.

I could be wrong, but I'd think that having so many flops on a resume would be toxic. There are a lot of unemployed game devs with toxic resumes right now.I was just about to say this - I would rather have these companies stay in business and keep the cats herded in a couple places instead of infesting everything else.

Much like the movie industry, creatives have always been leftist, and videogames stopped being controlled by programmers decades ago.
The problem is the corporations _used to_ say 'Hey, let's not demonize nearly half the population and block our project from not losing money' and would dial them back - that's what broke down as the 21st century progressed.
in the past tho a lot of moralizing/didacticism/social messaging they would at LEAST pretend it was within the context of the story. "maybe robots are self aware enough that we should treat them better" , "maybe we can try something besides just war", "maybe man is the true monster".Social messaging has been a thing in fiction forever. The problem is a lot of these writer groups are circle jerks where no one pushes back because no one wants to be labeled as something they aren’t. And when you add hamfisted writers to the mix, you get bad storytelling because it takes a backseat to whatever message they are going for
Even outside that, you need people to tell you the idea sucks and offer better alternatives. George Lucas had some dumb ideas for Star Wars and thankfully listened to some people who said “yeah, maybe not…”
good. bioware been going downhill since they decided that the reaper's ultimate plan was to make a giant human skeleton contra III boss.
No, it was full of straight white nerds that liked tits and violence. This "all games are political" gay shit started when women started hiring other women.Much like the movie industry, creatives have always been leftist, and videogames stopped being controlled by programmers decades ago.

I haven't been paying too much attention, but apparently the ME4 promos showed Andromeda races, implying that 4 was a sequel to both 3 and Andromeda. I was mildly interested in seeing how they managed that, but that's the limits to my disappointment at this news.
