Gotta remember that this isn't the same Bioware that made the first 3 Mass Effect games. Most of those guys don't even work for Bioware anymore. It's a completely new sub-studio that EA made.
I don't see how that excuses anything. It had a AAA budget and it has EA/Bioware's name on the box. They 100% deserve the [long overdue] hit to their reputation.

What Vorph said. Also, EA willingly knew they were going to have a lack of talent, obviously, but it didn't stop them from trying to use the Bioware brand as a way to sell units.

Yeah, they give a reason. They also throw out that their radar arrays weren't functioning if you read one of the little tablets. But, again. They give a reason but it doesn't make sense. They lost contact with the Nexus that they were supposed to fly too. But wait, its sitting right where it is supposed to be (Otherwise how did they find it right after). They didn't even bother to fly there to look first. Lets say they didn't fly to it first cause they assume it was attacked and destroyed. If the nexus was destroyed would you continue to fly blindly to your planet? Especially as the sector may now be hostile? If that was the assumption, then you'd go into a hostile environment operation mindset. Scan shit from a distance. Gather info.

Not saying they didn't have reasons. But they just seemed flimsy excuses to push you from set piece to set piece and not stuff that made actual logical sense for professional deep space explorers risking the lives of 20k people.

I actually got the novel early because I was curious. Basically due to some of the stuff you see in the early intro stuff their sensors were all kinds of fucked up. Seeing stuff that was not there or not seeing stuff that was. It makes communication between even near by things challenging. So some of my initial face palming can be retracted their sensors basically could not reliably see the hazard before they encountered it and it also fucked up their ability to detect anything about planets from any kind of range.

The three big questions about RMT:
1. Can you buy packs with $$$ that you can't normally earn ingame.
2. Do they come with much higher chances for gear than what you can earn ingame?
3. Is the only viable way to get the top level weapons from spending USD?

i'm also super curious about the multiplayer. i enjoyed 3, liked the citadel expansion as "the ending" instead of ghost baby ending. but i played the FUCK out of multiplayer. the wife and I constantly played it and enjoyed the random pack element. we never dropped dollars on it and frankly it looked like a rip off unless you spent THOUSANDS to try to get what you wanted.

So in short i hope they have MA3's exact pack system and character/weapon/item unlock scheme because it was awesome.

I just want to play a krogan and smash into people :(

Jesus christ, in that scene where PeeBee raises her hand to her neck, is that hand big enough? And that looks like a guy's watch from today?

WTF?!

Plus Cora looks like a freaky MILF. I dunno if they planned to make her look like a younger Cat Cora, but that's what she looks like.

OTOH Blue Shrek with tits is fucking eye-cancer.

Not saying they don't deserve the criticism. Just that no one should have had expectations this would be as good as ME2, or even ME3.

Rock Paper Shotgun review:

Ouch.

I heard today that there are two alien races. That ME1 had like, 10 different alien races in the Milky Way and ME:A has 2 gives me what I need to know about the creativity of the developers and desire to really make a game about exploring Andromeda.

Originally when I saw the ME:A trailer I thought it'd be me, my 15 person team and my one spaceship exploring an entirely new civilization in ME:A. The idea of me being the head of a bunch of colony ships and dealing with a bunch of Milky Way people is so terrible an uninteresting.

you dun goofed bioware, even the trannies are mad

favorite ME:A bug

Some bugs in this game are just mind blowing. If you are wearing a helmet, the rain will just hit your face inside of the helmet, and skip the helmet completely. It`s so weird.

My explanation for the entire ME:A plot and demographics of the character choices:

Much like the AI problem, the SJW problem keeps occurring in each civilization no matter how often its stamped out. So the ME:A Mission's actual goal is to send all SJWs, Muslims, and BLM types as far away from the rest of civilization as they can, under the pretense of building a Tolanesque Socialist Utopia. The other alien races are engaging in the same, which is why all the uggo Asari are loaded up on their ship, crossdressing Krogan on theirs, and so on. You cannot play a white attractive woman in ME:A because there are none in 37th wave Feminism+, so none were sent.

They shipped them all out so that the normies could focus on fighting the reapers.

I could go through any level of SJW depravity as long as you had conversation options that let you become the biggest shitlord in the galaxy.
