Baseball is so frustrating. Rangers down 3-1, bottom of the 7th or so. Bases loaded, one out. Of course Beltre grounds into a double play. Now I hate him and thinks he sucks and it will take me awhile to forgive this transgression. What is it about baseball that does this? Football/Basketball, I can give immediate forgiveness. Baseball? You fuck up, you're on my shit list. Same with closers. Save 20 in a row? That's expected. Give up a 2 run lead bottom of the 9th? Get the fuck off my team. I feel like strict asian dad.

Some of these guys are going to play 140-150 games this season, chances are they are going to have some days where they play badly.

You are correct but in that case it's a team living up to their expectations. With the Rangers, there were quite a few pundits who felt and probably still feel that they are the 3rd best team in the division. So to be where they are, well, feels good man.Tigers are just 1 game behind that mark themselves.
