Struggling to fine a way to win with Talos. she seems so weak. like, 10 runs, only even made it to seraph once. often failing by round 3.
enchantress/celebration requires good rng with units to carry her, till she starts buffing the units over time. most of the time, he first and second bosses, murder the entire field, and often her as you don't have anything up yet. totally negating celebration.
battlecleric is ok. but, to use best, requires her being on another floor, filling it up, then having her move down over capping it.

tried pairing with luna, pyre and laz with her.

fel just seems strong and carries by herself. savoir is probably best, but unchained/vangaurd also fine.
add in cursed twinblade and everlast light merged. its easy mode.
demon fledgling, swordmaiden, avenger all work well.

I used Battle cleric for Talos, pair her with dancer units and abuse shift/valor stacking

Shroom guys are fun. Used the duplicate any card Pyre, get the unit that resolves a FunGuy at the end of every turn and try to put a couple of those on the first couple floors and you can get some huge shrooms built up pretty quick. Got lucky with a Jack in the Box and shoved two of those guys and a bird that grants Quick into it behind the shroom boss that permanently gets +1 hit and health every time you summon and that was an easy win.

Shrooms paired with Melted remnants is insane, their rally/harvest mechanics create insane synergies

I did figure out that any ascend/descend can overstack a floor. I wasn't using that to its fullest. so, that allows the shift mechanic to work stronger.
also, I wasn't taking advantage of the wind sword equipment. which procs shift at the end of a turn. didnt put 2+2 together to notice it would proc the units "shift" abilities too. such as those dancers you mention. or talos's aoe melee weakness on shift.
With that then, trying that out, I figured out melee weakness stacks all consume on 1 hit. so, if you apply 2 stacks of melee weakness, the next hit is +200% damage. its not like most other things that apply/consume one stack per hit. so her shift/melee weakness build probably works really well with a SWEEP creature. dragons have one as a starter.

So far conduit stacking with Luna coven has been the most broken run I've had yet. All units with 1000's of armor and hitting for 3k

yeah. finally had a good run with ekka.
conduit on incant. shadowguard with armor incant. but, pulled 2xflicker and tidal turning early. the flickers had holdover and spellchain.. so just kept casting over and over. killed

Holy shit I am terrible at this game.
me too. my win rate is like 1 in 15. ( I do constantly swap around. its not like, I get a win, and just play the same setup over and over.)

if I had a crit atm, it might be possibly covenant rank acting a bit more like ELO. losses, reducing it, wins increasing it. honestly there might be more to it then I've realized already.. I haven't looked too closely..


I do feel the last few rounds totally break a ton of potential builds. which idk about yet. feels rough if there are so many dead end builds, and only a couple viable strats.

round killers: those 379 hp birds. lots of builds can't burn them down fast, so they move up and hit the heart too much. builds based on revenge/reflect, defense, etc just can't deal with them.
the sweep birds. murder the back lines. so any build making use of lots of weak characters, or a back line at all, are in danger. you need quick+ sweep/megamultistrike, or spells.
corruption. aoe corrupt same problem. corrupt front line on death assholes. brutal. then boss doubling corrupt.
regen should probably directly counter corruption. but doesn't currently. one hits, then the other. so corruption will still one shot even through 200 regen or whatever.

silence room is often the strongest due to much of that bullshit. almost feel like cleansing mechanics are lacking.

There is a certain level of RNG, but that's part of the appeal to these games, since each run you don't know what cards or units you'll draw before even getting into what enemies you'll face. Good counters for sweep birds or corruption is either daze mechanics or cards that move enemies up/down. Other clans have armor stacking as well. The big hp birds you can also move up/down to either get them to your units faster before they hit the pyre or move them back down if you need another round to try to finish them off. As you said, there's not many ways to cleanse debuffs, so you best defense is to kill/stun/move the enemy before they can apply it.
