I would bet both my balls the vast majority of players, all who made it to max level, didn't set foot in 2/3 of the Kunark dungeons. They went to Seb or Karnor's and only those two.

You had to go with guildies to far off spots. Even Chardok was low traffic.

THAT'S THE FUCKING POINT. It's bad world design because they didn't know what the fuck they were doing. Mentioning Chardok is a wild self own, since it was redesigned and is now the most popular Kunark Dungeon.

You don't need 8 picks of LGuk. if you drop the spawn timer from 22 mins to like 11, change the layout of Live side and make it more inline with deadside. It now holds 4x the players. You make things like CT and Paw more viable.

But MUH FBSS. Cool it's now a drop tied to any named in the level range

All its going to do is increase their loot haul, instead of picking everything up they will be trashing 3/4 of it and keeping the good shit. And other players are still at the entrance with their dick in their hands. And the redesign? Great you now have a dungeon going from 30 to 50. what about the rest of the peeps that want to go in there on their friday evening? I guess their SOL, might as well go play some other game right?

So many problems solved and traded for other completely new problems if people would just playon pvp servers. They don’t because the pvp is shit but I loved rallos zek and sullon zek as a kid.

The only purpose of PVP servers is to corral all the brain damaged delinquents into one area and quarantine them from the rest of society

Perhaps, pvp does solve a lot of these issues though. Maybe someday a game will get pvp right in a largely pve game and it'll be great. Probably not, but that sure would be fun.

Yup. And instancing is how you end that degenerate behavior on PVE servers as well. You can never give players the power to hurt another player's game. It will be misused and abused every single time.

So please explain to the retard how spawn timers are going to help people get into dungeons and solve the dilemma of not enough content.

There is 2 things you get from dungeons

1. XP. When spawn timers are 11 mins instead of 22. Camps become half the size. You can't possible camp more than you clear because DPS.

2. Loot. You change how loot tables work to make it pointless for people to "poop sock" . Instead Heiro Cloak dropping from one specific mob fairly common because small loot table. You make it so it drops off every named mob that's between level 51-60 this way it has a small chance to drop off 100+named making impossible for players to monopolize content(similar to how Random loot TLPs work, but not exactly) Finally instead of having 15 different Level 30-35 areas and One+one Half level 55-60 areas, like Kunark has. You have about four 30-35 areas and about Ten 55-60 areas.

First thing I learned to do when playing EQ was training the zone at Blackburrow on my lvl 6 rogue while running for my life. First time I did that I zoned back in and there were corpses everywhere. I laughed and kept doing it until a GM told me that wasn't cool. I thought it was part of the design, was such a noob.

Still one of my favorite gaming experiences ever.

I rerolled a SK and learned how to FD my trains on other groups to get their camps. That was a ton of fun. Then joined a guild at the endgame who were grade a jerks and we destroyed anyone who tried to take our dragons. Eventually the GMs stepped in and made us rotate a boss schedule with the other top guilds. That is when EQ became less fun. Still played it for years though.

I hear you about not ruining other peoples fun. But if you carebear everything then the game will be extremely boring. Instancing is the ultimate carebear trap. People will create problems no matter how much you try to isolate them. So give them a space to do that, but keep out the extremes. Besides, the flame wars on the forums in early EQ were almost as fun to read as playing the game.

Oh perfect. So now my outsourced powerleveling farm squad can round up all of Old Seb in a single megapull, vaporize it, and do it twice as fast with less downtime between cycles? Sounds lit.

Yeah im not really getting how decreasing the spawn timers is opening up room inside dungeons thus you dont need instancing/sharding. All it does is it 2x the exp rate and 2x the loot. Even more reason to sit and farm the same fucking dungeon for days. Also its fucking stupid to think that all of a sudden people wont be able to kill same amount of shit because the next spawn is in 11 minutes instead of 22. People will fucking figure it out, using CC whatever instead of sitting on their ass when its 22 min. More chaotic, sure, but def doable. You would have to decrease the spawns to like the 5 min mark for this to become a problem for groups.

And really is this what you fuckers want? A dungeon with 60 people all of them cramped into corners camping the same 3 fucking mobs for hours? Is this what you guys call fun? Instead of having 1/2 or more of it to yourself and actually crawling through it with your buds when its an instance? WHENEVER YOU FUCKING WANT TO?

Spawns are generally ~8 mins. And you can't claim more than one camp per their TOS.

Look, they can make whatever the fuck game they wanna make. Its their shit. But we can also discuss it here. and people are not going to play their game all special snowflake like they want. People will get on and rush to end game like they have been doing since 2000. And then they willl bitch and moan there is no end game...Blah blah blah..... It is what it is and what mmorpg will always be. Youre not going to change the behavior of the vast majority of mmorpg players.
